Setting battery levels using Time of Use settings on your Sunsynk Inverter

In this video we give a brief overview of your time of use settings and how to adjust them to get the most out of your batteries and inverter.
In order to get the biggest amount of savings from a hybrid solar system you should make use of your batteries. This involves charging your batteries using excess PV production during the day, and discharging that power through your batteries at a later stage.
In a South African climate where loadshedding is a reality, the Time of Use settings become very helpful when managing your loadshedding schedule.

Thanks for the clear explanation. My system is off-grid. It does allow the battery to drain below the set soc. I'd want it to shutdown the system when the set soc is reached. How do I do that?

Thanks for video - when timers are used on system i found that under Batt you have to switch Grid charge on as well other batt dont grid charge when dropping below % set on system timer and grid is selected … is that correct ?
But what i dont get is the % set under Batt Mode when grid charge selected … it seems like system mode timer % is priority … ? Please confirm

Only of Grid is ticked will it charge it to the set %. Otherwise it will just start using solar/grid.

Hi, what does power 5000 mean? If you have an 8kw inverter it says 8000. Do you just leave those values alone?
Also, for a battery system without solar installed yet, if i wanted to recharge batteries only from 22:00pm to 04:00am in the morning. Would just tick grid on the first row, set to 100% and the time 22:00 - 04:00. Then leave the other rows unticked. Thnx

Yes but requires permissions to be set. Consult installer or Sunsynk.

Your installer must change your access - they changed mine … then you change under equipment .. select the three … top right

I can set my battery to 70% and it still charges to 100% during the period

Make sure "USE TIMER" is ticket. If not, it will use grid to charge to 100% regardless of what you've set
