Thank you for this thorough and detailed review. I’m looking for a bag that meets Ryanair’s specifications for a small item - 40 x 25 x 20 cm (15.5” x 10” x 8”). I was considering the smaller version of the Topo Designs Global Briefcase. I haven’t been able to find any reviews on the smaller bag specifically and was wondering what the differences there are between the 3-day Global Briefcase and the smaller one, other than size. Do you happen to know what they are?
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to try the smaller version of the bag so I can’t say for sure, but I believe the smaller version has a different main compartment (it might not open fully flat and have the zippered clothing area). Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer!:)
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! The weather resistance on the bag is pretty good, for walking 15 mins in light to medium rain I think the bag should be ok but in heavier rain I would be concerned particularly with the zippers as they don’t have any sort of aqua guard or covering on the main compartments. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Could you tell me which are some of your favorites convertible backpacks. I like the tortuga setout 25L, this topo backpack, the mystery ranch 3 way and the arcido saxon.. i don't know if you could recommend me another and what you think of each one! Thanks for your videos!
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice between those, they are all pretty great! Personally I would lean towards the Setout 25L and the Arcido Saxon just because I prefer a more purely backpack style and the clamshell opening style of these bags compared to the hybrid bags since I don't use them as shoulder bags that often. Also, since the arcido and Tortuga are meant to be backpacks, their straps and back panels are a little bit more comfortable. With that being said if you are looking for something that could work a little better for a professional setting the Topo and Mystery ranch bags may be better options. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags =)
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I haven’t had a chance to test that one out but it looks pretty cool, hopefully I can my hands on one to test out!:)
Thank you for watching and good question! Its definitely a tough choice, but I think I slightly prefer the core pack as it has a bit of a simpler layout and it can still hold a ton of stuff. It's also nice that it's a little less expensive and it has the external water bottle pockets. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags =)
Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience! The bag has been working well for me so far, but I definitely understand it is an investment so its definitely good to pick something you feel confident will last a long time! =)
Hmm Topo was created four years before Douchebags, they're a more reputatable company and certainly has better reach. I'm not saying its impossible that Topo ripped off Douchebags, but that's a heavy accusation many will not believe in...
@@v4714v I didn't say anything about when they were created, that's irrelevant, I specifically talked about the bag attachment mechanism, you do know the difference, right? Also Douchebags is a more premium bag to me, nothing against Topo.
@@venom5809 yeah I mentioned it because it's hard to make such an accusation against a company that's founded before "the original." Sure, similar maybe, but ripped off implies bad behavior I don't think is true. I tried a couple Db bags in store before, I think, they're definitely more premium
Do they still make this bag? I only see the regular “Global Briefcase” on the site but it looks like the smaller version
Man I wish they still made this bigger 3 day size, the smaller one is too small to warrant backpack straps.
Thank you for watching and i agree, this size was great!
is the laptop compartment lock able?

I got mine and very much quite enjoying it
Thank you for watching and that’s great to hear you’re enjoying the bag a lot!:)
Thanks for the review ! What do you think about the water resistance of the bag ? let's say 15min walking under the rain ? Thanks

Thanks for the review. Have you tried osprey transporter carry on 44? Another great option for 1 or 2 bag travel. Would love to see your review on it.

Thorough review! Thank you!

How can I buy it?
Do you prefer this or the core backpack?

The material looks some something from Porter Yoshida
Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to check out their bags yet but I’ve heard good things!:)
Nice review. But please walk more normal when showing the backpack ;)
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m definitely working on improving my backpack walk!:) haha
Over all the Bag felt Cheap IMO. Returned mine

They ripped off Douchebags bag attachment system, too funny. They better hope that isn't patented or they are getting sued.

@Todd Samson hahaha I wish. Just an avid watcher of backpack reviews
Topo has been using that system since at least 2013
