I can tell just by hearing you writing with this pen how good writer it is! I have seen a looot of your videos and this is the only time i want to buy a pen just by hearing you writing with it!
Looked at this pen heavily at the Dallas Pen Show. The threads & finish are that of a precision instrument. This pen is expensive, but delivers on the quality!
@@dmullins311 It surely is, I think the white one is nicer, though. I don't know I have a thing for white pens because there aren't a lot of them or perhaps it just is that I have no white pens, yet.
@@d.molina5644 I do see a resemblance to the hose connection. however, don't let that fool you. The grip is very pleasant and you can grip the pen firmly. I have more trouble controlling the Lamy 2000.
@@MrEgelantier Design 08 surely has a unique grip, I'd like to tried. I agree with you that the 2000 is quite temperamental sometimes it feels like a dream gliding across the page but then it has so much drag that I cannot write letters without shaking at every turn.
I'm a bit put off by the advertising, which is all about status. It's not a watch, fgs! 😆 And, of course, it is priced high for what it is, which seems to appeal to the market they're going for. All that said, I do like the minimal fuss designs that OH produce, and wouldn't mind owning and using one.
I have an Otto Hutt design 08, but with a medium nib. This medium nib is also very smooth and provides sufficient inkflow. Steven prefers broad nibs, which are smoother by definition. However, I have no experience with the fine nib.

The pen reminds me of the Lamy Imporium in the titanium color
I was also thinking the same, the first time I saw this pen being reviewed. I own the Imporium and its also a very heavy pen, beautiful in my opinion.

Lamy Imporium has a serious cap threading problem. This OH pen is superbly crafted.

Reminds me of the Lamy CP1, only less emaciated, cooler textures. And seems to write GREATj. Also, avoid Schipol for a few months. Believe me.
That grip looks exactly like those PVC hose connections. Isn't it unconditional?

I agree but that horrible section!!!! That was a major error! I've designs 02 and 07 and nibs are amazing! Long live Otto Hutt.
Nice design and OH pens are of high quality for sure. But,,, for me they are a bit overpriced.
