Hello, would you please be able to say where is the warning/indicator relay on Octavia MK2 1Z3 ? I can find it neither at the back of the hazard switch nor on the relay panel (below instrument cluster). It is somewhere as I can hear it but I cannot see it! Many thanks! 🙂 And thanks also for your very instructive and smart videos that I have been usefully watching for years especially on Golf4! 👋
I found the answer by removing the instrument cluster from the dashboard based on the above video. Dumb me, there is probably (on-line stores like AutoDoc do not propose it btw) no flasher unit on the Octavia Mk2 1Z that I am working on. The "tick-tick" sound of the working direction lights is produced by a piezo membrane installed on the instrument cluster PCBA and the direction/hazard lights are probably driven by some ECU or instrument controller. Thanks again to Golf Wagen for his very helpful videos. 👍
