Appreciate the transparency regarding patreon. And great review too!
Your reviews bring depth and meaning that transcend the book itself. Better than food, indeed.
You should check out inferno by Strindberg, I’ve never seen bipolar, manic mood-swings captured so well in a peice of art, truly the best work i’ve read this year, so far.
Just saying you also well known among the Kurdish readers in the northern IRAQ - Kurdistan. ❤
did you read "Duma Key" ? it is placed where you live and a very clever first 100 pages intro into "what is an artist or art" - form the horror perspective of writing...
That copy of 'The Tunnel' you have on your shelf is worth like $100 right now. I know because I have the same one. Might be a good idea to sell it before it's republished.
The pure idea of the use of lower case i's triggered a Proustian memory of growing up going to a homeschooling co-op that was operated in the Pentecostal church my family went to, and I failed a CD-ROM spelling exam because I was never taught how to use Shift or Caps Lock on a keyboard, and I used a lowercase g to spell "God." On hindsight, it occurs to me how much English grammar reinforces the individualism and solipsism found within the English speaking West, orienting I with God and both with nothing.
Lmao would loveee to read but it’s 60$ in Australia currently. Hopefully someone here will stock it
Your review makes me want write to create ...worlds... life
Without, not a clue, other than what Bataile is to you. 📚 📖
Saying what need be said, need be heard, the needful thing our society rushes from rushing toward, rushing from death toward sex to escape death finding death in sex. Excellent review.
One may feel connected with the authors they read, sure, but listening to someone sprout trains of thought such close to home when digesting one of those books made me feel more connected than ever to a pattern of perceving the world.
I believe Fraud first coined the term Neorotica.
Got me curious about Surya and Bataille. Thanks for this review.
very good review! insteresting the comparison with two separate brazilian authors too
Thanks this is great. Ironically the excellent cover is not displayed on Amazon UK and it's out of stock.
Could you do a review of Other Voices, Other Rooms by Truman Capote?
Can you review Nico Walker’s Novel CHERRY?
I've never read Bataille. Anyone recommend a good place to start?
