- Welcome to Splatoon Hero Mode single player story ENDING & final boss battle, in the new action shooter for Nintendo Wii U! An amazingly fun breath of fresh air to shooting games, Splatoon involves squid called Inklings fighting in turf wars online & against the encroaching Octarians in the single player story mode, Octo Valley. Thanks for joining me in this gameplay walkthrough of Splatoon. We’re going to fight in online battles to level up & earn cash, compete in ranked battles, unlock some new weapons & gear, cover the entire single player story mode with cutscenes from beginning to end, collect all 27 secret Sunken Scrolls, defeat all bosses, unlock special weapon blueprints, and complete every Splatoon Amiibo mission to get exclusive weapons & gear like the Samurai & Schoolgirl outfits. We'll be ending with my review of the game once we've played through all of the content. On top of that I'll also be live streaming Splatoon here on UA-cam, covering the new updates, & taking part in online Splatfest competitions for valuable Super Sea Snails that enhance your clothing. Thank you all for watching! There's a bit of bad news about Splatfest I just found out about though...it's postponed. Here's the official word from Nintendo:
"Unfortunately, a matchmaking issue was discovered in the first Japanese Splatfest that resulted in long wait times and players unable to join matches. We have been working on a solution but will need a little more time to resolve the issue. In order to ensure that fans have the best possible experience and can enjoy the fun they’ve come to expect from Splatoon, we have decided to postpone the first North American Splatfest. We’ll have details on a new date soon!"
I'm going to stream tomorrow regardless though, so it should still be fun! Sorry if anyone is disappointed, but we'll still do a crazy Splatfest marathon stream another day once it's ready.

That was certainly one of the more entertaining final boss battles i've seen in recent memory. Quite enjoyed the entirety of your Splatoon single player campaign videos. The multi are fun too but I'm more partial to story driven segments in games vs. online content.
I'm aware it didn't draw as much attention but would be great to see you continue your Bloodborne quest next.
That was so much fun to watch! I really enjoyed this single player series, and I definitely know you had a ton of fun bringing it to us! Here's hoping its rampant popularity brings some single player DLC levels or something in the near future!

Ahhhh, rewatching a lot of videos due to the splatoon servers shutting down. This was so nostalgic, I remember flipping my wii u upside down so I could read octavio's final words haha.

I thought they resembiled Mabel and dipper from gravity falls,
also, when I said didn't realize agents 1 and 2 were the squid sisters I meant even after the credits
I was reading the comments on the first meet with agents 1 and 2 so it made since, the colors and hair match the original squid sisters
I love this boss, and some off the drawings at the end are kinda cute when u look at em.
Fun fact: if you play the boss battle a second time, it has different dialogue lines for each character.
And the alternate dialogue adds to the fact that SPOILERS:
Agents 1 and 2 are the same people as Callie and Marie.
It's nice to see that the boss battle doesn't just carbon copy the dialogue.

Yeah the final boss was really fun, and it was fun to watch you go back and play it. I never knew that the 'Bass' he threw at you was wearing shutter shades lol! It took me a lot of tries to beat it though, so I'm really happy that you were good enough to beat it first try!! :)

One thing that would have been cool is if you found all of the sea scrolls (including the one in DJ Octavio's lair), DJ Octavio would have another phase after the normal final phase where Agents 1 and 2 actually join in the fight and take off their disguises (kind of like how Shield Knight joins in the final boss fight in Shovel Knight), like a "True Final Boss" with an exclusive gun or piece of gear as a reward for killing it. It would give you more of an incentive to find everything, and it would also be a good opportunity to actually see the Squid Sisters in battle after all the roller talk from Callie and charger talk from Marie during stage news.
Having your face remixed puts a damper on the whole day...
Apparently Dr Octavio is as old as that captain guy. This means that he's likely the only elder who tried appealing to the young demographic, and succeeded.

By the way, those green plants that DJ Octavio is holding are actually wasabi roots! That's why he said "spicy wasabi beats" during the battle. (That or it could be sea anemone made to resemble wasabi~)

Don't worry about the Octarians, Swimmy, Those doodles appear to show a little bit of the after math of the single player campaign. There's good amount of it to say that the Inklings and Octotarians are now living in peace.

Cool idea for a Hard Mode Final Boss potentially?: Optionally make it so that the only spawns that DJ Octavio spawns are Octolings, optionally make it so that there is also an Octo Striker at the end of the map that targets you throughout it, and finally, optionally double the rate of attack for DJ Octavio
