I loved this series so much!! And this one in particular I want to listen to again :) so relatable! I’m so happy you put together this series! I hope you are called to do more in the future 🤗 haha no pressure of course!
Aweee, thank you! And yes, more in the future for sure. 😊 I want to "walk the walk" a bit more now, before more "talking the talk". I personally REALLY enjoy sharing in this format. ❤ So yeah, these talks are definitely part of the vision! I appreciate you listening and commenting, Courtney. 🥰
@@tatyanadeniz yay! I look forward to more episodes when the time comes 😊 you always have such great insight to share and keep me super inspired with art!
I notice the illustrators of the Barenstien Bears did have a solid consistent style get established but it was slightly different in the earliest books. Same with Peanuts comic characters. So that’s encouraging to see they stepped out and kept putting their art out there and the consistent style did establish eventually.
I know, the fonts are hard. I post on teachers pay teachers and other sellers insist you need to buy the cute fonts that are on trend these days but I like old fonts 😂. I like how I can tell in children’s books such as Doctor Seuss they use Times New Roman. I like happy bubbly font for covers but I always want the letter to be CLEAR.
Lol, yes! The thing is, for those artists we love and recognize - we pretty much see the latter part of their career, once they've found consistency. The early experimentation phase, we don't see. 😂 Or see a little of, cause they didn't have Instagram to document their early works. 🤣🤣🤣 Imagine Barenstein Bears on Instagram from the beginning, hahaha. That would be fun! With that perspective, I can cherish my early experimentations and steps. Once the style is polished, it's like looking at baby pictures. Endearing. 🥰 About the fonts, yeah. I agree with you that CLARITY IS KING!! And that we can use the fonts we like (rather than trendy fonts), as long as they deliver the message to the audience. Thank you for your comments and thoughts!!!!!!

@@cnags89 thank you, friend!
I watched this today and it was the absolute perfect thing for me for where my head has been with my art.
Aweee, AMAZING! I am so incredibly happy this landed for you. ❤️ Thank you for watching! Do you make art?
