- The weather has certainly changed in the last few days and we're now chilly, damp and grey......not the most conducive weather for the garden but perfect for indoor jobs......including carrying on with my big clear out.

Where I live it is really (yes really) hot in summer (so cal) so the thought of autumn is bliss because it will be cooler. When the nights get beautifully cool & makes it comfortable to sleep......I love autumn ♥️❤️

Hahahaha - yes, books are as essential as food and breathing!!!! They're pretty much the only thing in the flat that's not 'essential' in other ways. :-)

We all absolutely love these up and personal videos. Please never stop. I see myself in you, I see my bestie in you. I absolutely adore your book reviews and garden visits. Did you see the roasted tomato with garlic Richard fixed recently. A recipe he got from a co worker. I prepared it with Gigantes instead of pasta. Oh my goodness. My new favorite comfort meal.
Oh gosh yes I have seen R's tom sauce recipe (from his friend Nina).......it is becoming a firm fixture in my house!!! Lovely with Gigantes......almost makes Plaki! :-)

Oh, my goodness, I could get rid of so much clutter around our house. Unfortunately, the people I live with want to keep everything, lol. I have a friend who keeps her house comfortable for living, but in a state of clean and organized, so that if she were to have to move with little notice, it would be an easy job. A good idea, I think.
That's kind of my attitude too.....plus, having gone through the trauma of dealing with a relative's hoard I would never want to impose that on my family. :-)

What a great prezzie! That will come in very handy if we get a lot of rain... like the downpours we've been having recently ☔ and it's been so blustery as well! Here in some parts of Yorkshire we've had hail stones the size of gobstoppers! Unbelievable footage on the local news, thankfully not in our area I might add. Are you ready for the start of the French Open? ITV4 Sunday morning, I think I'll probably watch the highlights to start with, there's still a lot to do on the plot and I need to get up whilst the weather's fine.... It's a bind if it's dull, wet and windy 😂👍

Just a bit puzzled when you mentioned the difference in UK and the USA charity shops as my thrift shop here in North Carolina supports the shelter for battered women with children. I do a clean out fairly often and I shop there and buy stuff as I want to help the shelter as much as I can. My Ebay/Etsy shop will have my crafts and needle felting items for sale. I sure do dislike having to list, tag and describe every little thing though. I'm a wee bit late catching up with your videos - dealing with some health issues lately. Hugs, Cami

Oh Vivi, I just love your "Time-outs". Precisely because they are so wonderfully told spontaneously. It's a shame that many viewers classify you as "Garden Vivi". Because your garden videos always get the most views. Although you never defined your channel as a pure garden channel.
But, as you put it so aptly, those who love these types of videos absolutely love them.

Always feel like I've had a visit with a friend when you're done.
I've done my closets over time, (encouraged by your previous video) even my husband and son did theirs too, we ended up with more on the floor than on hangers, and it is fantastic to walk into the closets now, they're so empty, clean, clear and freeing, we are now working on a room a week, we want to be fully free by Dec 1st ready for the Christmas season, and nothing to commit to in the new year, I really dislike "new year resolutions"

always a rainbow... behind the silver lining.... I was due to visit my elderly 'bubble' neighbour yesterday.... Massive hailstone storm put paid to it... Well thank goodness... he decided (against advice , I had declined to take him.) to go to a social club a few days ago ( supposedly all spaced and legal) and the people he was sitting with were diagnosed with COVID and are quite unwell..... He got the phone call this morning.... he seemed quite put out that his other neighbour ( also bubbled) couldn't come in to watch the match.... and his cleaners couldn't come etc etc plus , that I would not be calling face to face for two weeks but would drop his shopping at the front door and phone rather than call.... I'm really cross about it .... I kept him safe since March ... and just one break of the chain and this happens...... Be careful out there....
Oh no!!! Daft behaviour......I'm SO glad you didn't meet up and weren't exposed! I really hope your friend doesn't get unwell.......and good on you for doing his shopping etc. Yes, stay safe, keep yourself well even if others put pressure on you to 'mix'. XXX

LOL, konmari all the way dear, that's what I did, first I started with decluttering all my stuff, then I learned about Konmari and bought the book and watched it on youtube and I've not looked back. I was a thriftstore addict and I'm not afraid to admit it. Most of my clothes come from there but the virus of doom has kept me away from it and I will stay away from it and in the mean time it will have to do. I still will check all my stuf if it needs more decluttering but it doesn't. I only replace what is broken and can't be fixed. Today was a very rainy day and I wanted to do a lot at home but........... nope it didn't happen so I watched Miss Marple and now I'm watching Hercule Poirot, such a lovely scenery and ok those murders aren't that funny but the rest is just a joy to see. Some eyecandy makes my day today. What a lovely gift by Paul and Richard, they know you well. Take care dear Vivi, hugs xo Vleer.

Yes, I really must have a go at my clothes. I know there are a lot of repairs or rag bag items just in my old T-shirts. And since the grocery store I shop at hasn't had paper towels since January, it's time to make my own reusable slop rags.
At least they have toilet paper, so I put a roll in the kitchen for cleaning the grease out of the air fryer. Needs must, these days.

Hahaha - yes to slop rags! When we went into lockdown and all the loo roll disappeared I cut up a very worn out old sheet to make my own bum wipes! Worked a treat. ;-)

Very typical in cities. A person holds the 'freehold'......it sort of means they own the land that the building is built on so........I own my flat, the bricks, windows etc but I am a 'leaseholder'......which means I have to rent the land my flat sits on..........
