    Thanks, I enjoyed that video.
I've just bought myself the Toaks 750, which I'll use with a Trangia on a little stove that works as a wind break and pot holder 😊

Evernew titanium spirit burner with Ti stand, 550ml Toaks cup, fuel bottle is 45ml plastic snap seal container, room for a spare sea to summit collapsible 250ml cup, lighter, foil for ground and a sponge for cleaning too. 268g with a full fuel bottle. 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is a great video, and addresses the contention I had as well when considering a solo cooking kit and when I go backpacking with my Wife. Thanks for the video and ideas! Cheers. 🍻

It may sound silly but turn the cannister upside down b4 putting it in the pot. The underside gives that little extra room in the well.

Your Toaks 750ml pot, 4oz (110gr) fuel canister is the same exact nesting system I use. I also carry a Toaks 450ml pot that contains coffee my foldable spork, & a lighter. I've made Koozies for both the Toaks pots, everything is secured inside their orange mesh bag. The Koozies helps retain a HOT temperature of my freeze dried meal right down to the last sporkful. The smaller 450ml cup/Koozie keeps my HOT coffee HOT HOT.
I boil 700ml of water in the 750ml pot, pour out 400ml of water into the smaller pot for coffee, then pour my freeze dried meal into the still boiling water that remains in the 750ml pot & wait for the meal to rehydrate.
My 4oz (110gr) fuel canister is always FULL when I start out on an overnighter because I use a GWorks lindel fuel transfer valve to top it off from a larger fuel canister.
    Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada.

I use the Toaks 750 and a Pocket Rocket 2. The 750 is perfect. Tried a 550, but even using the little BRS stove it won’t close all the way. Rather have a slightly bigger pot that holds everything with no issues.

Hmmm! It’s all a question of choice. I prefer an alcohol stove over a gas burner. I use a Trangia kit. It is silent and I can get fuel anywhere. The silence itself is so worth it in a natural setting!😊

@@evacoutdoors5867 in my area the only 100g can of gas I can find is the jetboil brand, it happens to be the most expensive way to buy fuel of all, but the convenience makes up for it by the time you want a brew, also, you can use very cheap adapters that allow you to move gas from larger more cost effective and cheaper brands of isobutane into the smaller 100g cans, pure 220g cans of butane are many times cheaper than buying isobutane mixes) and are so easily available that even my local supermarket sells cans of butane, also cheap in multipacks from hardware stores, butane is lower pressure than isobutane so is also safer to transfer into the 100g cans, the only problem with pure butane is that it only burns reliably above freezing temperatures, but most of the time from spring to autumn it’s fine and is around the same price per gram as methylated spirits which is slightly more available than butane cans (gas stations as well as supermarkets sell meths)

Which is why I use the MSR Titan. Combined with an Alpkit mytimug 650. The 650 has an actual useful working capacity well in excess of half a litre, just the job for that morning/breakfast rehydration, or that after trail cuppa when you're gagging for a jolt of coffee to drink while your meal heats up. The650 easily nests my stove 2 small fuel bottles, a Bic lighter and a tiny plastic syringe for fuel transfer and a do rag/rattle cloth for clean-up and to preserve my sanity from meltdown by clanking cookset syndrome punctuating every step of the way. Assisting this peace of mind function is a Toaks windshield/pot stand. It fits neatly between the Titan and the Mytimug.
As for one of the many possible combinations of cook - pots/stove etc, it is a very rash statement to claim that any particular one is "the best" . Best is the one that suits a particular individual need. And that need often varies widely, eg, day walk when you need a brew to go with a sandwich or, an overnighters need for a dinner and a breakfast, or a multiday trek when you might like to include a frying pan, which I like to combine with a Primus kettle for bangersnbaps and a brew on day walk. Lots of possibilities and lots of bests. So take what suits your own needs and ignore the didactic claims of anyone else's "best". Your best is the one that matters.

Yes- the pocket rocket 2 and the deluxe are both smaller than the Windmaster so they fit even better. I just tried fitting those 2 stoves in the 750ml Toaks in the store yesterday b/c I had the same question. That said I think the Windmaster is a better stove

@@richcatlin If that siphon burner can keep all the flames under the pot, ok. I am myself quite critical about fuel consumption and in my experience Evernew titanium burner needs something like 14 cm diameter pot for that to happen. Trangia burner is better in keeping flames under pot criteria. I might try that siphon burner.

A person definitely wants to be wearing gloves or have something that insulates hands/fingers from that hot pot.
I've made a Koozie using reflectix for my 750ml Toaks pot. The Koozie/cup fit inside the orange sack. I take the pot out of it's Koozie, put it over my Soto Windmaster, when water is boiling, I put on a thin pair of gloves, take the pot off the stove, then insert the pot with boiling water inside its Koozie, pour my Freeze Dried meal into the pot/water, cover it, & wait for my meal to rehydrate. The Koozie retains the heat so I can enjoy a HOT HOT meal right down to the last sporkful.
