Hi Sarves SFM follows the RSPC guildelines for preparing Mud Crabs for cooking which states The most acceptable, and easiest, method is to chill them in the freezer for about 45 minutes until they become insensible (but not long enough to freeze them). Once chilled, they should be killed promptly by splitting them in half or dropping them into rapidly boiling water. See rspca.org.au for more details.
doing it is harder than looking at this video... Nevertheless, this video is great! It really helped me. First time preparing the black pepper crab. I prefer removing the claws before working on them. it is safer
body meat only coarse if your eating shell a full crab should be "bitter" and course in the claws "sweet" soft in the body and full crabs are bronze underneath also kept right can last 2 weeks but cant return to water after a couple or days gills will dry out and it will drown
They are like an old couple! Thanks for the upload, you both have great skills.
