To each their own I suppose but I really don’t see why people are praising this dlc so much. It’s mediocre at best imo.
@@avggamer2270I feel the exact same way. Even base game was 'scarier' but only because the animatronics could pop out at any time and kill you. This DLC barely has any threat, it just feels so... empty, and the puzzles do not fill it out at all. I feel like I'm being gaslit by the media. Honestly, I think the base game was so bad it was complained about so much that the internet came out thinking it was, somehow, worse than it actually was, and therefore find this DLC better in some form.
@@SoggycereaI I have an interesting theory. I think a lot of people were talking crap about the base game because while the game was arguably bad ya, it was by no means atrocious, it’s just that there was so much hype leading up to it that people were expecting it to be an absolute masterpiece, especially people from outside the franchise who had never heard of fnaf or delved into it until this game. Then when those expectations weren’t exactly met, people were quick to call it a heaping piece of garbage just because it didn’t live up to that expectation. With this dlc however, since the base game didn’t perform well, a lot of people didn’t end up returning to the game so therefore people weren’t expecting the dlc to be good. So maybe now that people weren’t expecting a masterpiece, they were able to appreciate the dlc a little bit more as it’s own entity? @@avggamer2270 Yeah that's what I imagine the case to be!
