I love Ballas's voice when he speaks through Transference or in the vitruvian. I gotta figure out what settings to use on a mixer to simulate the effect
That's horrific. I didn't get it straight the first time, but these recordings with this haunting music and the slow betrayal reveal was amazing. Peak warframe
It's fascinating how this revelation about the Warframes shows how flawed the Orokin were. Literally everyone they put into service betrayed them. The Sentients rebelled after seeing Tau, the Warframes directed their madness at their creators, and the Tenno took revenge for the execution of Margulis and they way they were mistreated.
5 years ago, Ballas launched those words about the Tenno capacity to "take away the pain" and how they are fit to control the Warframes. Today as we get the Whispers in the Wall quest, once again the Tenno compassion and empathy turns the tides in a new battle, stopping the Indifference from the Void to take over Albrechts Lab.
3:27 "We had created monsters we couldn't control. We drugged them, tortured them, eviscerated them... We brutalized their minds... but it did not work. Until they came. And it was not their force of will- not their Void devilry- not their alien darkness... it was something else. It was that somehow, from within the derelict horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing- and take away its pain." I don't know why, but that dialogue from Ballas *ALWAYS* hits hard. I've done up to the Duviri Paradox myself, but even then... this quest is still one of the best ones. *The Sacrifice.*

@@ilhanthediamondcrafter9767 I think that normal frames are clones of prime frames that's why primes have slightly higher stats they don't have "clone degradation"

Thanks for this compilation. It makes and adds so much to the lore, and it shows how just narcissistic Ballas is that he doesn't understand compassion. IDK where I quite stand with how vague and grasping at straws sometimes we have to be with Warframe lore. At the same time, it makes it a good, fun mystery to investigate, and really highlights StallLordd's lore video titles: "what we know".
I feel like the message of Warframe is to simply understand one another and see past what we see as "ugly" what we hate or dislike or don't fully understand.
The shivers down my spine. This quest and the second dream are my favourite ones for now. These "main" warframe lore quests are really good. Though I'd like to suggest something at the transitions like continuing the ost for alittle longer then change to next entry.
"They have learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing" I thought was the opposite, Tenno saw through Warframes and not Warframes through Tenno. lol
So basically, the warframes were people, made into warframes thru hemlith, they were in pain, so they rebelled against their creators, they tried doing stuff like drugging them, but it didn't work, but void children took away their pain, making the warframes be still. The reason why umbra fought back because he was in pain, and wanted to kill ballas, untill, the tenno took his pain away, but I dont know why unmbra can still move.
One of those reason probably the host was once a revered Dax, a legend amongst the Orokin. Even under the Transference bolts in his head, it was his will *alone* kept him at bay from completely losing all. What the Tenno did mainly soothe the pain away, not to suppress it. So the memories still there, the pain weren’t anymore Ballas fucked both sides up, so while Tenno heal Umbra’s mental pain, they didn’t take away Umbra’s desire for revenge, which mean deep down somewhere, his mind still inside to control
You misunderstand. The warframes we use now are husks, no humans inside. Umbra however, is the last remaining original, hence he can move because he has free will still, through us.
@@Antiblackcoat Umbra is not an original, he was made close to the ending of The Old War purely as a punishment because he spied on Ballas, which is why Umbra is sentient and still has these memories.
@@Antiblackcoat Not really, the transference bolt that the Warframes were fitted with prevented them from doing anything the Tenno didn’t want, removing every ounce of free will, Umbra is this way because he was fitted with an UMBRAL Transference bolt, that forced him to relieve these memories over and over again and kinda kept his personality alive. Umbra is the only one who ever could and still can move by itself, simply because the Umbral transference bolt kept him truly conscious with that one memory and he still is like this even though we built him from scratch, like all other Warframes, because of that Umbral transference bolt
The New War had the same purpose as the War Within, introduce elements of the narrative. The War Within explained the Continuity Process developed by the Orokin (Kuva) and the Transference (used by the Tenno). Myasa Man He also speaks in the prime warframe trailers if that helps
As someone who has dabbled in audio editing. I know this effect requires some layering and echo and possibly some reverb
sound has a bit of echo and is moving left to right and back and forth.
Flanger, and autopan
Possible octaver/chorus effect for the layering
