UFO: Invasion UFO endings comparison

- The 1980s UFO compilation movie Invasion UFO exists in two versions. The first, rushed to cable and then later released on VHS, has a shorter ending. The second, which is available on the Umbrella DVD release, features an additional pair of scenes from Identified.
The cloud patterns on the Earth in the last scene look quite like a half shadowed skull and makes it an unsettling match to the monologue.
Thank you for this comparison. I would say the first cable version ending was an extremely rushed and barely reviewed thing. I wonder if Gerry Anderson noticed the mess that got released and stepped in to clean it up.
Very interesting, thank you.
don't forget, this movie is a mishmash of episodes from the tv series.so it is abit chopy and confusing.still,it was the only versin I could get my hands on back then, having only seen the series as a child in the 70s.thankfully the TV series is now on dvd.I finaly got it.I highly recomend it.you can also see the full episodes here on youtube.but nothing beats owning it.
I rather wonder why the music just fades in later on the DVD version. The version on UA-cam (from some really bad VHS version) has the second version but the music stays throughout the whole scene like the first one.
I never really could understand the ending to this
Both are so abrupt and odd, but at least Straker's "long finger of tragic coincidence" comment at the end makes sense with the second version.
