David Pagan Butler (centre), 54, a filmmaker from Saxthorpe, Norfolk, built a pool that serves as a fresh water habitat and works with plants and animals to provide hygienic water for swimming. He is now teaching others to do the same through a step-by-step UA-cam video, which has been viewed more than five million times. Thanks to Mr Butler, swimming ponds have been built in Brazil (top left), Devon (top right), Norfolk (bottom right) and Ireland (bottom left), to name just a few.
