It's a beast of a smoker and it cooks good too, that chicken you did looked really tasty. Nice build, I've enjoyed watching the whole series on the smoker build and definitely hanging around for the Santa Maria build. Happy Christmas my friend.
Thanks brotha. I’m cooking on it right now. 4 Boston butts for the boys at work. The Santa Maria grill should be pretty quick once it gets going. Then paint tires and brake lights and we’re in business. I appreciate the love and glad you like the build.
@ Boston butts I’m envious. I’ve just butterflied two pork loins and stuffed them 1 with cream cheese and spinach the other with sausage meat, herbs and bread stuffing. Enjoy your butts 👍
I have another 250 gallon tank in my yard and looking for any excuse to turn it into a cart style smoker. I also have another 250 end cap I want to make a stand alone Santa Maria for a buddy of mine.
@@icemanfiveoh yes it’s a round grill. What makes it “ Santa Maria “ is the ability to rotate a wheel and lift the cooking surface away from the heat source. Lower the surface more heat and faster cook. Higher the surface, less heat longer cook. Or place cooking surface high to keep food warm and serve off of.
Looking great. I hit mine with boiled linseed oil and a weed burner torch. Gives it a great look.
That looks awesome, nice one mate. It’s a big fat yes from me for the Santa Maria build.

It turned out pretty good! What else can you build?

@@DB_PROJECTS I have no idea what a Santa Maria grill/smoker is, so that would be interesting. Keep up the good work!
@ the Santa Maria grill will be stand alone. Nothing to do with the smoker other than on the same trailer.
@@DB_PROJECTS Is it like a 22" weber round grill? LOL. I usually use a smokey joe, they are small but get really hot...
