For nearly 30 years I've fished live bait, dead bait and cut bait. Never been big on artificial. But, over the last few months I've been changing my style to be more sporting/challenging. You, Richard GeneTFM and FishinNStuff have been helpful and inspiring in rebuilding my artificial bait collection. Thanks for all the reviews/tips.
Hey Victor, I had a good conversation with the folks at NIKKO and they said they stopped production of the pin worm due to packaging cost issues. They did said that they are looking at bringing them back next year once working out a new way to package them. So we’ll see. Also appreciate all your insight on the micro jigs you use and also your rod and reel reviews. I’m going broke but love it lol Tight Lines, Eppy
i have those too and even showed them in the video, but later cut them out, trying to keep the video under 20 min.. They have good baits, but a little expensive. But biodegradeable and elaztec so...
@@ifishcatfish The expensive part is the biggest downside for me. $7.50 for 4 soft plastic hellgrammites is a bit much. On the plus side I've ever had to replace a soft plastic because it got torn up by the fish like other soft plastics. They're as durable as hard baits.
I have a review of the perfect jig head. Search my channel for 'Decoy'. I actually have a playlist with small japanese jig heads, and several of those will fit this worm, but the Decoy is the best
I just made a Crappie Lures playlist. If you want to check my other crappie lure videos this is it:ua-cam.com/video/BKDG7u3-FXU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=i_fish
All the Nikko baits float. I find that low-salt plastisol baits easily tear, while the Nikko baits never tear. It's difficult to pull the larger ones and get them to break.
For sea fishing, fish bite the tails off my lures all the time, it´s crazy. There really is a difference between fishing protractile mouth species such as crappie, bass and sunfish, and fishing sea breams and labridae or any other hard mouthed specie... So the price goes up when you fish in the sea if you choose the biodegradable option. I really would like to know the materials of those baits because to have such an elastic lure and yet be degradable is quite an achievement, specially if it does not come in liquid or any kind of oil.
Berkley needs to make a crappie lure with the MaxScent plastic. Its been dominating the smallmouth tournaments with their MaxScent Flatworm on a dropshot.
You can use the one to 3 inch minnows from powerbait. These things smell to high heaven and have fantastic action, www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?sort=no&start=0&count=30&searchtext=Powerbait+drop+shot
he has good stuff. Bought a hook remover from him I have been looking for that design for years. The best design in the world. But someone needs to make it stainless steel.
Greta Thunberg would give you a pat on the back for your take on the biodegradable section here... Unfortunately she would still overall hold you in contempt for your diesel engine idling video!

that package costs maybe 20 cents.. they sell them for $6 a pack... I talked to a factory myself..
Just wanted to say great family Christmas photo!
Thanks DR! HNY buddy!
Big fan of the Nikko hellgrammite and crawfish for bass fishing. Might have to give this a try for panfish.

That is a really nice set up. Looks like a really effective lure. Thanks for sharing.
It is!
Nice review, thanks for the perspective.
thanks D
Great video. Nice looking baits. Can you suggest a jig head that would work properly with these worms.
Thanks, Kevin N

thanks for watching VK
These fit perfectly on a 1/32 oz, #8 Matzuo sickle hook jig. They catch fish too, thanks for sharing!
did u buy before or after this video?
@@ifishcatfish After, never heard of them before your video. You should get a commission, lol.
i know..
what is the other (green with red head) you are comparing NIKKO to?
Cultiva micro worm. Also reviewed on my channel. I called it the perfect panfish bait.
@@ifishcatfish thank You Sir!

Will test it on a cheburaska rig :)
Yes, but do they float?
They do! Thanks for bringing this up!

i dont know how bio degradable they are. I fish with the same worm for a month, got 400 fish on it, didn't disappear yet. Just the same.

yeah, berkley can do a lot more for crappie lures...
@@ifishcatfish I can't believe they're missing the boat on this one. It would be a good seller.

Excellent video
thanks boss!
Which jigheads are they? Do you bounce them off the bottom? Sorry, haven t done a lot of crappie and bluegill, but want to
I mentioned them in the video, but i also have reviews of them on my channel. I fish them with a float actually.. video coming..
Where are u from buddy… ur accent, great
bulgaria
Could you use this with dropshot rig?
you would have to use a small and thin aberdeen hook... then yes...
I get my jigheads from anglersbook (5346) 1/64 oz on ebay vmc hook they work nicely on both. Thank You very much for the video. Happy New year to you.
couldnt find that. If u want me to check them drop a link
Interesting...
Very!
Man, it looks as though Nikko discounted their pin worms!! Say it’s not so!!
indeed, that's what it looks like
Here's the link I hope never did this before. ebay.com/usr/anglersbook
