Haven't seen Reservior Dogs (yet), but god damn the dialogue is so engaging I barely paid attention to the edits. Kinda like Monogatari now that I think about it🤔
Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are really, really good. Pulp Fiction is one of the most anime-like movies of all time (in a good way). It wears American culture on its sleeve, it is full of completely absurd moments, there are monologues about random bullshit, the banter is excellent, the pacing is tight, it's good. Reservoir Dogs is just a very well-executed, character-driven short story.
@@ddd8828I thought the most anime-like film of Tarantino was Kill Bill. I mean, there are lots of elements from 70's martial arts films. That scene with Beatrix fighting the school girl feels like a concept straght from an anime, and there is even a literal anime scene in the movie.
The best part of this is the anti-semantic remarks joke, which both references a movie and also falls into the Monogatari penchant for pun-based jokes. It's, dare i say, kino.
This is probably the most identical one to the actual monogatari (without the weird angle and weird background structure). The dialogue, the screen flashing, I think you did a great job
I gotta partially agree with Mr. Pink. True it's foresight, but nowadays you're expected to tip everywhere for pretty much no reason. I can at least understand tipping waiters and waitresses now since they at least put in the effort of taking your order and delivering your food to you, but now they can sit behind their cashiers, make the food the same way they've been doing it for decades before, and you still have to tip them extra because companies decided that they can just start paying their employees less and rely on the consumer to fork it over. Rant aside, great video man, I always love this style on editing.
@@Shadow6OO The fact that the REASON tipping isn't just courtesy but NECESSARY is because businesses go "oh, people may give you a bonus for good service? MUST MEAN I DONT HAVE TO PAY YOU A LIVABLE WAGE THEN". this is insidious and awful
the past, present, and future is fighting. the waitress (or waiter) should get paid a respectful, living wage, a thriving wage, and treated like the human being they are. the customer should be able to agree to prices upfront. pitting the work staff vs the customer because management is trying to undercut their employees? it's fucked we keep letting it happen.
Insane monogatari edit Sidenote I hate how tipping feels enforced and people trying to guilt trip people for not tipping, thank god im not american. Yeah their wage is low but thats the goverment problem not the citizen Paid for the food, paid for the service, paid the taxes and you tell me i need to paid extra for.....nothing? I rather they increase the food prices and take a cut from that instead
i want to see a monogatari edit made just like the real thing- with actual quotes from the book (I won't know if they are the actual quotes but just them being them would be reeeaaly cool)(the funny texts on the solid backgrounds are from the novel)
Please, please could you do a napoloean dynamite/monigotari edit??!!! When uncle Rico is either selling the sailboat or getting ready to throw the steak at Napoleon please?
I wish Tarantino would make a movie that's all talk like this. I mean, I tried watching a dinner with Andre, but it was boring as balls. Just an arrogant actor talking about his life to a drooling fan of his. There was nothing interesting in it. This on the other side, I want to learn about these guys. They are interesting. Watched Dogs in the 90s in VHS. Must have seen it another 4 or 5 times. Amazing movie.
LOL the word game with "semitic" devolving into "semantics" is pure monogatari
Me and my jewish boywife do not approve

Good Tarantino movie,
Yeah, it's a great movie. Genuinely one of the greats.
stop you're going to finally convince me to watch a Tarantino movie against my will
I mean, everyone should watch at least one Tarantino film in their lives regardless.
If you willingly anime but refuse to watch Tarantino you've got bigger problems, buddy.
your loss

We need more of this
Agreed
Mr. Pink makes more and more sense as the years go on, "inflation" inflates, and "tips" become more commonplace.
Going to Europe for a month and not having to tip was fantastic
This scene was so good I was too immersed to notice the Monogatari edits wow. I am going to watch this movie now thanks dude

Oh wow I didn't know this was such a popular meme. As a Monogatari fan and a thrall of Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade, this pleases me.
Sometimes I just feel like making a Monogatari style edit of stuff I enjoy
Greatest Monogatari-like edit ever
this Is The Most Monogatari Yapping Ever
Ooooh the classic back brick wall with the fire hazard and no weapons signs was a brilliant touch! Amazing attention to detail, bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I swear you're getting better! Only a matter of time before a flawless 10/10 edit, I'm sure!
This is just Kaiki's take on tipping roflmao
is this what the kids call KINO?
Kinomonogatari
Uh, based?
Please keep doing these.

Mr Pink really should tip
The waitress should do a better job

A big take away is it has gone from 12% to 20% nowadays for expected tips.

Not erratic or random enough
i agree with him. as a non american i dont see the point of tips.
Where’s Obama?
9/10 (-1 for missing Obama)
If I did the scene where they all get their code names, Obama would have shown up when Joe calls Mr. Pink a "fig"
Convinced me to never watch monogatari
