My first time ever watching a Fitter in flight and to be honest, awesome display. At close quarter seems like a Fished on steroids yet it retains its amazing flying qualities for an air 2 ground attacker. Definitely Russia knows how to make bricks fly. And they get better at it with the passing of time. Knight Flight, beautiful camera work BTW.
Listen to an interview of a pilot that flew these SU 22s...I was astounded when he mentioned their quite under powered, and sluggish...I'm not sure if he meant in general or compared to other jets. At any rate, I think their very cool looking

Olli - Top marks for your film, the Sukhoi, the pilot and the display. Never have I seen so many flares. The question is, did the pilot fire more flares than the commentator spoke words? :)

Ich habe schon die ersten Konsequenzen daraus gezogen, und fahre auch dieses Jahr nicht zum RIAT nach Fairford. Das Flugprogramm ist einfach zu mau. Da ist nichts was ich nicht schon mehrfach gesehen und gefilmt hätte. Einzige Highlights sind derzeit ein spanischer Harrier, und die Me 262 aus Manching. Aber das allein rechtfertigt nicht (mehr) die hohen Kosten und den Aufwand für die Reise.
I live 2,5km from the end of their home airbase's runway and can see (and hear!) them taking off very often. Our pilots call them "suka" (plural: suki) which literally means "female dog".
@@knightflightvideo There are 18 of them in active service now. They'll be used to 2025. So, there's still a chance. Every year in their airbase there is a small local airshow (last Saturday of June). You can see SU22s and MiG29s in the air. Unfortunately, due to Corona, there was only static display in 2020 and 2021. Hope 22 we'll be luckier.

As an airplane lover and one who has studied aircraft for 37 years, the Su-22 is my favorite Sukhoi aircraft.
I love hearing roar of those powerful engines in Su-22, getting goosebumps. Excellent flying delivered by Polish pilots 👏👏👏
I'm just imagining Polish Airforce Su22 launching special gift packages towards Moscow.
Fantastic aircraft. I worked on B1 bombers and kc-135 tankers, but this is one beautiful jet.
The B-1B Lancer ("The Bone") is an beautiful aircraft too, and one of my favourites. ☺👍

Yes I know about the yearly Open Days at Swidwin Air Base. I was there in 2014 and 15. There are some videos of them on my channel. :)

Hmm not much to watch except quite a lot number of flares being popped.
It makes rolls, low approach with afterburner and fast/slow flybys. Not bad for an fighter bomber. What you've expect to see? 🙄
