- "Strikes and Gutters, Ups and Downs" - Children Of Bodom in Retrospective Photos.
Janne, Jaska and Henkka walk you through the first official Children Of Bodom photo exhibition that took place in October 2022 in Espoo Cultural Center.
This retrospective was created in close cooperation with Alexi’s estate and of course the selected photographers. The exhibition moved later on permanently to Bodom Bar and Sauna.
The pieces are also for sale (except piece nr 4), edition of 5+1 meaning there will be max. 5 copies made ever. Each piece comes with a numbered certificate signed by Janne, Jaska, Henkka and Anna (Alexi’s estate). The shop and virtual gallery can be found here:

I listen to COB everyday. My favorite band of all time. Henkka, Jaska, Janne, Roope, Alexander, Daniel and ofcourse the one and only Alexi " WildChild " are the coolest musicians in my eyes. Super funny and very intelligent people. And they're all virtuosos in their music, Janne is a keyboard master, Jaska a drum master Henkka bass master, Roope, Alexander, Daniel and Alexi phenomenal guitarists. Their melodies and sound are unmatched plus Alexi's voice and solos. They're like a musical gift from God for us to enjoy. Alexi was the coolest and most badass lead singer and guitarist of any other in my view. He had the coolest look and stage presence. That's why he's my all time favorite. The one and only WildChild.
Rest in Power wherever you may be Alexi. I'll never forget you or the other guys. Best band of all time.
First of all, you guys did an amazing job to keep the memories alive. You really are giving your 500%. It is just wonderful that you care for that all so much. And I think it is just beautiful - the way you talk about Alexi. Maybe you didn't notice it, but you were like getting slower and more nostalgic whenever you talked about Alexi. Beautiful movement, beautiful words and beautiful times. Thank you!
The memories captured in these photos, just wow! Children of Bodom will always be unique in the metal scene, no matter the time that passes. I remember hearing COB for the first time through a school friend - I couldn't believe the sounds and solos Alexi was able to make; it was something I had never heard on a guitar before.
You guys are the best and you will always be my favorite band.
I remember when I was 13 years old and wanted to be legendary guitarist like Alexi and my grandma and my father bought me my first guitar :) . Rest in peace Alexi

Thanks for walking us thru and preserving these moments. I enjoy looking back standing in the front row of the Wacken 2018 show or the one in Stuttgart with some very funny interactions with Insomnium. Looking forward to sometime soon visit the Bodom Bar!

I am so happy to see those photos and at the same time sad. I was there, at Medeia and COB concert, me and a friend waited till 4:30 am next to the tour buss Alexi to came out and spoke with Lora all night. They told us he was so tired and went directly to the bus so we never interrupted, screaming or nocking, just waited there and then left. Never blamed him for not coming out, now I think it could be more than just being tired.

My favorite band ever and I saw them 6 times and can't believe I'll never get to see them again. I couldn't even listen to Bodom for a long wall after Alexi passed and cried for days, still can't believe he's gone. I felt these guys took a break cause they knew Alexi had to get better but him and Daniel kept on. They are brothers like Alexi said, "I'm not friends with them, I'm brothers with them". Things felt weird after Roope was let out of the band and things seemed a Lil weird after that to me. None the less my favorite band and shredder that got me through really tough times. RIP WILDCHILD COBHC FOREVER!!!
