Car Boot Sale & Charity Shop Report 25 June 2023

- It was a very warm morning for the car boot sale (Flea market) this morning and there were a lot of vendors on the field but I wasn't able to find many tools today. In fact I only picked up one mystery tool and a large garden ornament for Mrs Rathbone with a total of £4.00 spent!
I expected to find loads of old tools out there this morning but sometimes I am out of luck, never mind there will always be another week and another flea market (Car boot sale).

I'm glad Mrs Rathbone liked Terry the clay dog!
That's a great tool thanks for sharing your time 🍺👍
The mystery tool is "fascinating" as Spock would say! It looks like an early form of a flex-head ratchet! It is super cool! Maybe hang on to it to cool you off during your heat wave! 😁👍
The chickens and the dog are really nice. I have a big chicken which looks just like the small ones, I think it's for storing eggs in.
That is a stunning Italian tool. Soooo precision engineered. I'd love to imagine that this bronzed beauty was used by race technicians in some 1950's circuit racing pitstop. Really gorgeous.😊
Mystery tool: I bet commercial truck maintenance. I bet ScoutCrafter will solve the riddle. I have no use for the mystery tool, but I would love to own it. Nice video. The condiment shakers are either both salt or both pepper because salt and pepper have different amounts of holes. They are worn slightly different. They came out of a bed and breakfast, I bet.
Posh B&B ! My experience of seaside guest houses would be those glass 'n' tin-topped salt & pepper dispensers. And no pets (not even dachshunds). And out by 8.00am and back before 9pm. And don't flush the communal toilet after 10 o'clock ! Halcyon days...
The big dog can be soaked in a big tub of salt water to kill the growth on it and it’ll make it a uniform color. Then, use a file by the underside hole to get a pile of terracotta dust and mix that dust with glue to make a filler for the head damage that’ll dry very similar to the rest.
That ratchet is really interesting! I’d like to see it cleaned up. I think it might actually be used the opposite way round, where the handle end socket is popped over lug nuts and the drive end goes onto a breaker bar. That’s my guess. Clearly something is missing though, at the flex point.
I have a similar German made ratchet set. Exactly 4 sprockets on the ratchet wheel.
Google Chia Pet. 😅
