- Holy hell this thing is rad. The Mirage Cyborg ZR was a little known, but very spicy 1990s JDM hot hatch with a screaming 1.6 liter that revs north of 8k. Very compact and light weight to start with, this example has been stripped down and turned into a gravel stage rally runner. I have a cyborg zr. They have elec windows and option of air on plus body coloured door handles etc. you have an r or r/s there. Also leave it in first for longer if you want to see what it’ll really do. Sure mine will hit 45mph in first and nearly 80 in 2nd. They are little go karts. Mivec only works when temperatures is right and providing no sump pan damage. Anything not to pressure they won’t activate mivec
You're lucky.. where you live.? To your opinion, why so many people prefer to take a vtec compare a mivec.? Sorry for my bad english.. 🌷
My Brother had a stock Mirage (not a Cyborg, just base model) years ago, I drove it once (drove him home when he was injured), I was surprised it felt much bigger from the drivers seat than many bigger cars do, even stock these were always quick little cars, same front end as the Lancer of the same era, the Mirage is just shorter and thus lighter.
The Mirage was a very popular car in Australia.
My first car was a UK Mitsubishi Colt Mirage, over here Mirage was actually a spec rather than the model name.
It had a 1.6 but it was a SOHC & not the screaming MIVEC engine.
My next car was an Evo IV, the floor pans are identical, I know this because I needed some floor mats for the Evo so I tested the Colt's in the Evo & they were an exact fit.
Ralliart Germany actually made a Evo engined Colt called the SR4X complete with 4WD & a wide body kit.

The ce mirage and lancer are actually the same car (mirage hatch/coupe) but for some reason they were badged as a lancers in Australia
Love these cars straight up road legal go karts i currently own a poverty spec mirage but want to get myself a cyborg one day
