My experience in tourism I find that most people from Countries other than Americans are golden. Most are here to learn respect enjoy and appreciate how we have preserved the greatest lands in the world. They save for years just to come here and spare no expense. Europeans and Asians are our most appreciated people. Most Americans, not all, complain about costs, brag and discriminate because it's not done like in the states.Basically Americans are hard work to please in the hospitality industry. Most (not all)are stingy and low tippers. Most are only interested on how our great country can be exploited and what they would do to change it.

I find that if people visit the USA from other countries, Americans expect them to speak English. When Americans visit other countries, they still expect them to speak English. I wonder how many Americans know that, unlike Canada, the USA doesn't even have an official language.
I watch a lot of "films" (meaning not produced in Hollywood, typically global content) and it gives an exceptionally different viewpoint to how Canada is seen by the world. For example, when a family wants to show that they are cultured or have money, they'll reference having a child going to school in Canada or having a holiday home here. Often the idea of "oh we spent our summer holidaying in Canada" is used in the same way americans say they "holidayed in France". I work with an international media company and there's always been hints dropped about everyone coming to Canada to do New Years together because they think we're Switzerland with a twist. Something cool and new. The one American on the team doesn't get the appeal, but she's never been here. It's as though we're some mythical land.

Canada takes pride in being a multi-cultural nation. Our people come from all over the world. They all have their own celebrations here and, that's good. 🙂
It’s also destroying Canadian identity, we’re becoming fractured into many different identities with no common values anymore. It’s one thing to bring a flavour of your own culture to enrich an existing dominant culture, it’s completely different thing to ignore the dominant culture and just live the way you used to.
True but, until recently, immigrants were still expected to embrace Canada and leave their country's problems behind. In the last 10 years, it's been the opposite. We've imported millions of "immigrants" that openly hate Canada and Canadian culture, and are bringing their hate and wars with them - as we clearly saw with the pro-terrorist events across the country that our Prime Dictator supports.

The flag shown with "french is only spoken in Québec" is the Acadian flag. Just to show that this is simply not true. Canadian thought: Watching the realization the video is satire in real time was glorious.
If I told you the number of new or older Canadians that I have met in my 60 years, living here and what they said to me (guess I have a friendly face), you would be surprised. When people are telling you something secretly and think that you must be on the same page as them, boy, you would not believe the comments I’ve gotten and I’m talking from everywhere in the world a few negative nasty comments that I’ll never forget. All the way from England, Sweden, to Africa, Asian countries, everywhere in Europe, central & South America. No longer am I being diplomatic or staying quiet. I will nicely explain that they are basically full of shite 🤣
@ That's a good thing to be Mythical it keeps the superficial away.
@@LetItBeSummer-1 One day at the mall food court, it was so busy that there were no free tables. So I asked to share a table with an older lady, she said yes, and we started eating. After a couple of minutes, she said in a disapproving tone, "Do you notice that there's not one place here that's run by white people?"
That shocked me. Not as much as when my mother pulled into a gas station once and the first words out of her mouth were "Is this station owned by white people?" (that was incredibly embarrassing), but still... I told her, "I don't care who runs them, as long as the food is good, and mine is."

There are also the Acadians who have a history separate from Quebec. Not everyone would recognize the Acadian flag so I was pointing it out.
(I am also a little shocked by the hate from an anglo New Brunswicker.)
No to mention the huge francophone population in Northern Ontario and some areas of Manitoba.
You completely missed the point.
Wrong! I am a french Canadian person, I live in Ontario. Alberta has many areas so does New Brunswick( only province legally bilingual)
and they are NOT Acadians, they just jumped on the bandwagon and are annoying as hell. It makes like in New Brunswick life shitty at times. forced french
French guy with no accent says "Bienvenue en Alberta" ....
Gastronomy the practice or art of choosing, cooking, and eating good food.
6:02 Most people, including many Canadians ironically, think of Canada as moose country and think our quarter has a moose on it. It's caribou. We have a lot of caribou. We have moose too, obviously, and they are somewhat important in Canadian culture, but it's the caribou that are really culturally significant.
Also caribou and reindeer are the same thing
A lot of very famous funny Americans are actually Canadian born and trained. Canadians are very proud of our satirical sense of humour. And I spelled "humour' the correct way!
3:15 Tyler, let me give you a cheat code for pronouncing French: You almost never pronounce the last letter out loud (BUT the silent last letter DOES effect the way you say the earlier vowels, the same way you'd say "a ton" and "a tone" differently.)
"Est juste une grande foret" should sound like "Es juicet un grand foreh".
French is not only spoken in Quebec. New Brunswick has French and English as official languages.
You can come!!! Please come and stay 🙏😊 i like your personality and kindness
Then you can move

Tyler, thank you for taking the time and making the effort to educate yourself about Canada and its people. I greatly appreciate that you are doing this. I wish you all the best in your continued efforts to educate yourself on our wonderful country. This is what good neighbours should always do.
All the best!
I can see that we'll eventually see a video series of Tyler moving to Canada.
One of us... One of us ❤🇨🇦
I can see we'll eventually have a few videos of Tyler visiting Canadian provinces.
Don't hold your breath. We're up against the UK and Norway.
🤣😆
The top 1/3 of American states are just as “cold “ as the lower part of Canada where most of our population resides. Our climates are the same
What a privilege that I have that my ancestor came to Canada, I fluently speak and write French and English.
Americans should check where we stand in education and quality of life healthcare!
This film is wright And Americans have a good country and they should take care of it which needs a lot more care, so don’t come to Canada and let the rest of the world enjoy our country!
Hey Norman, where else besides Quebec and France would you need French? I'll wait!
@ language is a way of communication just like German,Spanish,Russian and all the other languages but all have a lot of history which are classic of human history !
As a French Canadian from Quebec, your french made me smile! 😉
It’s so cool that you are trying! Great video!
Canada is a mosaic not a melting pot. Viva la Canada! 🇨🇦
We get less snow in winter than many States.
Tyler, when this channel reaches 100k subs, your next youtube channel should be about your Canadian travel year (4 seasons).
I love our country
I have a cousin who lives in Canada and she comes to Nova Scotia every year. She can not get enough of it. I am a proud Canadian. Still have lots that I would like to see.
Fellow Nova Scotian here ❤
This is where I would LOVE to go visit, I am a descendant of the Acadia people who had to leave. They have the tours and I have always wanted to go there and see it.
Canadian here to say the way you say Newfoundland is very American
True. It's pronounced Newfunland (or close to that).
Tyler - your French is getting better
@@MichaelYoder-e8g 🤣🤣 I didn’t make a comment about his French . His trying thou 🙂
I thought it was at least as good as Conan O'Brien delivering a weather report in Icelandic (look it up. You'll wet yourself).
We have quite a diversity in Canada,we love them and they contribute to our community intensively. Some will, some won’t,so what.As long as you’re happy, friendly and kind,we dig you .We have great folk festivals, concerts and great sporting venues,so stay ,go ,do what you feel is your best choice.
Come to Halifax, see the tables sitting outside along sidewalk, people having fun, lights everywhere, summer is great
What we are trying to say is, "We love our country, and we want to keep it beautiful... so we can enjoy it as well as live from it. We don't appreciate visitors who can't or won't respect the rules and social expectations. Balance in all things is what most Canadians strive for, I believe. Some people's scales may be a bit out of whack, though! So, Shhhh, stop telling all your friends our 🙊😂
We beat the pants off the states in the war of 1812!! 😂
BUT it wasn't Canada that did it - we weren't the COUNTRY of Canada 'til 1867! It was the BRIT'S!
It was technically a draw with no side gaining or losing. The British, Canadian & Native American forces were winning in then beginning of the war mostly due to having trained with real rounds of amination but also suffered some major defats near the end. Neither side gained any of the objectives.

Both my grandmother and grandfather on my mom's side can trace our family tree back over 200 years. On my grandmother's side my 3x great-grandparents were United Empire Loyalists, so we actually started out in the States. They didn't want to be part of the US then, and I sure as hell don't want to be part of it now.
On my father side my grandparents came to Canada some time after WW1.
My love for this amazing country runs VERY deep and I will fight tooth and nail to protect it.
Winston Churchill said that if he had to fight another war he would want Canadian soldiers, American technology and British Generals.
The guy who was saying “yeah don’t come here.” Is expressing a very particular sense of humour that we have! If you watched Trailer Park Boys, Shorsey, Letterkenny, Corner Gas or anything of the like you’d recognize it!
My father in law was constantly commenting on how many non-white people were in Canada when he visited. I had to tell him multiple times that Canada is not a “white” country and we are immigrants from all over along with aboriginal people who are not white.
I think a lot of Americans assume we are just a bigger version of North Dakota, where the population is 85% white people. But we welcome immigrants, so our 40 million people are very diverse in appearances and cultures.
Yeah, my father in law is from Venezuela and I think he just assumes Canadians and Americans are like 99% white. It was hard to tell if it was racism or just a general disbelief that we have a multitude of different people here.
Canadians are all the same, kind, open minded, they know how to skate on frozen rivers, how to swim in lakes, how to build a log cabin, how to cut woods, many of them speak french as their ancestors were french people from France. Canadians are all the same, they want to remain Canadians. And be aware that we have very large moose, mosquitos and very dangerous bulldog flies 🫎🦟🪰 and very very cold winters🥶. I don’t think americans could survive in Canada.
the one guy in the comments who said to not come to Canada said: "in 2020". Remember the big thing of 2020?
And all the issues there were with Americans sneaking in to places like Banff illegally
If you go to the original video, it was posted to YT on October 11, 2018.
3 minutes in and he sez "This is satire, right?"... I burst out laughing. We Canadians are full of sarcasm, "the lowest form of humour"but VERY Canadian.
There are French speaking schools all over Canada and departments documents that are for the citizens are written in English and French

I have relatives that moved to USA from Finland in the 1940's.
In the 1950's my parents decided on Canada. I am grateful my parents chose Canada. Proud to be Canadian ❤
Tyler, when you really understand what it is like to be Canadain you would understand when the guy says " yeh Don't come to Canada" he is being sarcastic! In other words we like Canada all to ourselves. It's to make a joke which we do a lot here, able to laugh at ourselves. Proud and Thankful to be CANADAIN! Born in Nova Scotia but now live in Quebec one of two beautiful provinces in Canada.
In 2020, tourism boards were asking people to wait to visit Canada to prevent the spread of covid.
