It's been my desire to play with a band like this every sunday. As a skillful musician, I have never had the opportunity and its so painful. Nobody understands... being a skillful musician and yet you do one man band every sunday.... this performance was so beautiful tho
Bro, bro, bro, bro......my goodness. Thank you so much for this Doc. This is what i try to do with my band sometimes. The progressions with the melody was so beautiful man. Wow. That was awesome.
Thank you so much for this video. It really confirms things for me. I was struggling to teach folk who wouldn't wait & listen, but just wanted to be heard.
This is very profound and professional and has helped me a lot. Please we need a workshop like this that would run for hours to cover other musical areas.
I love this. I’m currently a saxophonist at my church and I was wondering if you’d ever do a video on how horns typically fit into an church band. In service, I often find myself struggling to find a place where I don’t clash.
watch your volume . get a saxophone mute. placement is important. Just had a saxophone player play with us for the first time on Friday evening. While his playing was beautifully done his placement was not great. But I'm summing that up to me not leading him perfectly . Follow your leaders
I would say first and foremost to pray before the service. Listen intently to the song being played as well as the flow of the service. Then, carefully pick your spots to embellish, enhance. Watch the worship leader and allow the Holy Ghost to lead you. Thanks for sharing, God bless.
The worship leader is the one to finf some Space for you while he is leading worship. The problem is that when you've got a worship leader who IS not really music driven, it can be hard! 2. When you prepare you worship the worship leader should try to include s some Space for instrumentalists playing, either at the starting of à song , in the middle at at the end! That's my opinion!
A year later c-dub look at the conversation we had last year this clip got me thru some tough times over the past year bruh I can testify to you and tell you that god change everything and bless me tremendously as a fellow musician I was able to come to this clip and get peace of mind every time I view it keep up the good work bruh and keep pushing because you and your anointing kept me going be bless my brother
I've been trying to get other musicians to play with. I'm a novice bass player. They always have an excuse. But I will keep pushing on!!! GOD KNOW MY HEART!!!
HELPED?????!!!!! BRUH,YA'LL SMASHED IT! I LOVE WORSHIP MOMENTS. Churchy is cool, but worship's best. Just my opinion, and the WAY you present it is AWESOME. Blessings to you and the band.
Ngl, i've Never learnt this thing it's like God's gift to me .,..when to slow down and when to go up, everything even the chemistry with my band .... To God be the glory.!!!
Hey cdub , wah gwan, Bwoy the man them sound good, I think u need to do this more often, where the young musicians can see how the band correspond with each other. Great work sir ,big up!!!
Thanks for this tutorial. I'm working with the band at my church to build on these foundational dynamics. My dilemma is that I also sing and find myself doing double the work on Sunday leading the choir vocally and the band simultaneously. What are tips to incorporate both of those aspects succinctly?
I’m going thru something at the moment but as a musician myself I know this is a tutorial but it gave me so much peace because god is letting me know he got me it’s just funny how god takes something as this tutorial to manifest something to me that’s how you know the real anointed musician such as #cdub from the rest 🙏🙏🙏#thankujesus
Warren Roberts I had the Kronos, but thieves broke in and damaged it beyond repair. The church graciously offered to replace it and I decided to go with the Montage. I loved my Kronos, but the Montage is more suitable for live playing, especially when you add an expression pedal.
@@jamoiwatson8786 agreed. Mine gets a ton of use. For every event, the montage is the go to. My xf and es both stay in the house usually because montage can handle it all..
Are the sounds you use (pad, layers) all internal sounds from your keyboard (I assume it's a MODX8), of are they from your notebook? Sounds really good!
Fun to enjoy a band performing at this level. They've arrived at a place few will ever go
Instincts is key to building chemistry with a band.

Be patient and humble, encourage your team and pray for your team. Do not let pride ruin you.
Is it painful than being a professional bassist and your church bass has three strings on for three years?

James Mitchell that’s great! It’s crazy that my wife actually named the music in this video “Through The Storm”
Oh wow bro believe me it’s a storm for real
Genius
Thx
Very nicely played, but can i get that kind of metronome at the begining??
Love how you’re flexing the Montage (MODX). I love mine!!! It’s a beast
Warren Roberts I had the Kronos, but thieves broke in and damaged it beyond repair. The church graciously offered to replace it and I decided to go with the Montage. I loved my Kronos, but the Montage is more suitable for live playing, especially when you add an expression pedal.
I brought the Montage in 2017 (LOVE IT) but when da MODX came out....i was like YAMAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYY??????????
Jamoi Watson I have the Montage also, but I have no regrets. Few nuances that differentiate them
@@sneedjr yeah the Montage definitely has more junk in the trunk. I dont regret it either. Me and Monique (my Montage) has a good thing going on. Lol
@@jamoiwatson8786 agreed. Mine gets a ton of use. For every event, the montage is the go to. My xf and es both stay in the house usually because montage can handle it all..
Hiw did they know what notes to play when you sang it
Hey I'm bout to buy the modx8 in a few days what sounds did you layer to make that patch
Are the sounds you use (pad, layers) all internal sounds from your keyboard (I assume it's a MODX8), of are they from your notebook? Sounds really good!
Genuis Cdub

What song is this?
