This practical seminar was part of our Worship Day looking at the relationship between the worship leader and the band and how they can best work together.
I appreciate what was said about the honour we have to arrive at church early and how wonderful it is for us to meet together and worship. When you are reliant on other people to take you to church and you can’t get there early how can you serve? This was a major issue within a couple of worship bands I’ve been in as the band bonded against you and whilst a couple of us learnt the parts we were always excluded from any fellowship the band has. On a different note when you are supporting younger musicians and are in a band with mixed ages how do you address DBS and safe and sound training work in both a practice environment and a fellowship understanding* as well?
