How to Make Shower Steamers

In this video I show you how I make shower steamers, and the finished product. I adjusted my recipe after I made the video so the amounts are a little different in the video than what is in the description below. I put the recipe for a 1220g batch (which is different than the amounts I say in the video) below. Feel free to experiment with the formula to find a recipe that works for you!

54% Baking Soda 668g Baking Soda
27% Citric Acid 334g Citric Acid
7.5% Arrowroot Powder 92g Arrowroot Powder
2.52% Cream of Tarter 30g Cream of Tarter
0.84% Isopropyl Alcohol 10g Isopropyl Alcohol
1.68% Water 20g Water
2.52% Fragrance 30g Fragrance
3% Menthol Crystals 36g Menthol Crystals

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately I don't have the cup/spoonful measurements figured out. It is recommended that you weight the ingredients though. It makes for a more accurate recipe.

Folks need to know that it is not recommended to use menthol crystals in shower steamers that kids might end up using.
I read that in many articles i come across when I researched making mine.
