I used your wonderful simple method of teaching how to read with our 4 year old last year.
Our 4 year old started to pick up some letters here and there from his kindergartener brother. He also really started to show a great interest in wanting to read by himself, and i saw no reason for holding him back due to early age. I just went with his interest, by using your step by step method. And oh My, did it Work!!!!❤❤❤❤ he is a fluent confident reader by 5, and so so happy with himself!!!! Thsnk you so much for your amazing work! You are trully God-sent!!! ❤❤❤❤thank you so much for All you do! May God bless You and all your family!!!❤❤❤

Thank you so much Jady! This video is just what I needed to see how I must prepare my little girl who will soon be graduating from VPK this May. I am still praying about it because I don't know if I can keep my little ones engaged as well as you do! I started my girl last year before she turned 4 with my Father's world, but honestly, I didn't find it as fun as what you have taught me in your videos. I have a soon to be 5 year old in July and my little one will be about 2 years and 8 months when that time comes. Thank you for being such a huge blessing! YES PLEASE JADY! I've watched all your videos since my kids were born 4 and 5 years ago. I'm now pulling my kindy boy out to homeschool the rest of the year and next, and I thank the universe for the perfect timing of your curriculum! I would follow your curriculum for the rest of there schooling life - whether continuing homeschooling, world schooling or general schooling! Please bring a curriculum out for each year!
This video has come at the right time.. i have a 3.5 yo daughter and it's began to be hard to teach her things compared to a year ago.. so I don't know if I'll be able to reach the goals... She knows uppercase letters and most of the lowercase letters.. she counts to 20.. she is not into tracing and writing unfortunately and I'm not sure if I should force her a little bit to do it.. sh does others activities like matching, find halves, find differences.... We're Italian living in Italy as well so I'm also trying to teach her English and everything we do we do in both languages.. my English is at an intermediate level but it is still something.. and she catches on quick... Thank you for your help!!!

I have a question……is it ok to teach reading in two languages at the same time? Spanish and english? Or should I do one language first, then the other?
I’m really struggling with this. My 2nd grader did really well with both. But I feel my Kindergartner will get confused. What do you recommend?
I love all your videos and follow a lot of what you do. I do have a question. Do you still recommend Alpha Phonics? I see you are not using it in this video. I ask because I just bought it after watching an older video of yours.
Your choices are fantastic.
We have used Exode the Code primers and Bob books with 6 children so far! We use a variety of phonics programs based on natural abilities, but our favorites are Phonics Pathways and Alphaphonics....and for some children Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. Phonics Pathways is my personal favorite as it starts gently imho with 2 letter blends first.
I love the looks of Math U See but never had the funds to invest, but have loved using an abacus and 100 chart at this age for counting aand number recognition....once they are ready we do Singapore 1a as it is so gentle.
A favorite for cutting, pasting, following directions is the Rod and Staff workbooks.
This all sounds so intimidating to me. Is it as difficult to get started as it sounds? My daughter is 2.5 and I feel so unprepared even with all of this information available.
This is practically our Kinder curriculum. I just dont know when to add in Math u see or Singapore. I'll buy one in October.
@@amandajohnson4315 it is truly fun tonteach your children. Follow their leading and they will grow naturally in most skills. Read aloud a couple points in the day regularly, do counting practice when they swing or walk stairs, and play games with them. Nature is the best teacher in the younger years. Bible memorywork is a great addition and studying positive character qualities.
When they turn 4 I begin with the first Rod and Staff preschool workbook and usually work very slowly through the prek books. When working in the counting book we work on counting to 100 with the chart every day....counting by 10s first helps with that. Slow and steady really wins the race...enjoy these years as a bonding time more than education. Explore the world.
@@laurenj.5312 If money were no issue then I would say Mathusee primer is ideal for K...and I would do both Singapore textbooks and Mathusee after that...imho Singapore teaches pictorally and does mental math amazingly well.
@@amandajohnson4315 Since your child is so young you can do one thing for 6 months and add when you are both comfortable. When my son was 2.5, we did 1picture book that required me to point out new words. Then we did a creft/activity that taught fine motor skill like cutting and gluing. Six months later we add a number a week. Six months later at 3.5/4 yrs old we added something else. Slow and steady.

I absolutely love your channel. Even though I find it frustrating at times that my twins do not follow instructions. Tried the activity making them placing beans one by one from one bowl to the next; one started eating the beans the other just chocked them all in one 😅
How do you discipline them to do what they supposed to or do you just repeat the activities antil they follow the instruction???

Hi Jady. Greetings from India. Thank you so much for sharing all the knowledge and wisdom. My child is 3 years old. I am starting to teach her phonetics. Could you please advice which is appropriate age to teach her to write - numbers / alphabets? I am confused how to go abt reading and writing. Is it like I teach her to read first and then after a year or so, she shall learn to write?
With the Bob books, ow do you handle doing, ex. Book 1 in series 1 all week when they memorize the story after a couple days but don't really read it. Said child can sound out the words but gives up after memorizing it.

I have a one-year-old toddler and I want to teach him Spanish and Italian. We live in the US and I know my son will be exposed to English when he goes to school but I still want to spend some time teaching him some English writing skills such as having my son write essays at home and etc. I'm really interested in following your teaching methods but I'm not sure how to do that while teaching him three languages.
