Modern Arnis-Remy Presas In addition to its Filipino influences, elements of Judo, Shotokan Karate, and Wally Jay's Small Circle Jujutsu appear in the system.
This is just karate but renamed to "Arnis Eskrima" or as its empty hands component. Arnis and Eskrima are weapons-only martial arts, there was no "empty hands component" until Anglo-American boxing or jujutsu was imported to the country in the 1900s. For a long time I wondered why it's really hard to find the "traditional mano mano" these days, you know the ones that weren't influenced by boxing or karate, because digging into its history, there was never one in the first place.

Arnis and Eskrima are two different styles completely.
no
I get it that this is a demo, but do they ever practice with resistance? With non-cooperative opponents?
Must be a requirement for kali instructors to repeat "you know?", "you see?" ad nauseam. 😳
How about kicks?
