  • This video compares two popular gyro spinner companies and one of them can be taken apart and serviced.
If you want stronger hand, finger, and wrist strength, this is a very unique way to exercise to recover from a strain, or even to ramp up your strength if you can get the RPMs fast enough.
The two gyros in this video are suited to both strength and rehabilitation.
Keeping the rpm's down will result in a light strength and stretch movement. Ramp up the RPM's and you can experience a forearm muscle pump and development.
The gyro provides resistance in every direction, weights just don't work like this.
I'm a fan of the much stronger and heavier versions.
I paid full price for both of the gyros demonstrated in this video, this is not a sponsored vid.
Below are the affiliate links for both gyros, this channel is not monetized, so if you use the links it will help me grow this review channel.

It used friction to increase speed of the gyroscope , Don't used any rubricant to rubricated it
    Here is why

Yea! Made mine so smooth that I could barely get it going without string, and even with it lost speed super fast

Very interesting. This video creator contradicts themselves at the end within 20 seconds when they say that no skill is necessary and then that with some skill, one can get better at it. I bring this up because I wonder if one may possibly use that “skill” mentioned to overcome the slipperiness by timing one’s wrist flick with the momentum of the plane associated with the change of direction, thus enjoying a long spin time while being able to accelerate by correct timing.

You can clean the gaskets but you should need mindful there's a part where you shouldn't lubricate. It relies on friction to generate more revs from the movement of your hands.

The metal (hybrid has a metal inside and plastic outside, and new Diablo which is smaller and all metal) versions are available now from nds

Should probably look at renaming the video how NOT to clean Gyro Ball. This will essentially ruin the ball. Lubricant prevents the gyro from working properly.

@Frederick Dunn I did, and mean no harm. The video still presents as though it's a good idea. Just thinking a title change may save people trying it before they read the comments. Clearly your video and your call though.

I have both the plastic one and a metal one that I have to start with a string the metal one feels to big for my hands it's a good exercise for my age of 71yr old what I like about them you can walk around and use them thanks for sharing

I’ve had 3 types of these The one that is by far the best is an NSD Diablo It’s metal and I use it almost every day It’s easy to start and is the quietest of my 3 Actually the other 2 are usually quiet because they are now very hard to start

You can disassemble the plastic one, just search for videos "powerball disassembly", after unscrewing two side screws, u need to hit the edge or press on it with a book or worst case put it in a vice with some wood claws. Once it pops, then it's much easier later.

I've had my green plastic gyroball for 25 years and never taken it apart or done anything but use it. If it ain't broke don't fix it as they say.

Used wd40 ptfe on mine and noticed how it made it much more difficult to get it up to speed, a couple of days ago I sprayed some canned air in it, some 99% isoprop, air again, brought it up to speed and isoprop again.
The inside looks super messy now, but it’s definitely working better.
I got one with LEDs and they get as bright as before I mistakenly lubricated it.
Now I’m looking at metal ones, I want something that feels a bit more solid and precise, it should also be a little less noisy. Don’t need that windup spring either.
I feel like a solid machined one would be amazing, something like the “super precision gyroscope”

I just bought one after a lot of research and I I'm not sure you're going to find what you want. They're just mass-produced in China in the metal Gyro balls they still use the exact same plastic guides for the rotor this would be the part that wears out. I don't think any of them are made to last but if you find something let me know

@@fredsfineproductreviews6560 don't know if this will help but I actually had one wear out on me many years ago. The part that wore out was the plastic trough where the steel pin from the rotor has its friction to roll on… So no matter what they look like no matter if the outside case which is meaningless is metal. you would have to find one that solved this particular problem. And the friction has to be something that can provide this friction for this is the secret to how these work. Like I said I don't know if this helps at all… The way I see it the cheap ones can last as long as the expensive ones I haven't seen any major differences in this area… But who knows. Just get a really cool one and buy a couple of… LOL… Wishing you the best and thanks for chatting with me

I think you should revise the title to make it clear that you should never lubricate one of these.
I don't always read comments before watching a video - especially when it is in search results.
I'd imagine that if you could lubricate only the shaft bearings of the rotor / core.
