I honestly didn't know about Typhoon until I heard "Perverse Fascination" from lead singer Kyle Morton's 2016 solo album "What Will Destroy You" in an episode of NPR's All Songs Considered. At that moment I absolutely fell in love with Kyle's voice and the whole sonic ambiance of his music, so intimate and vulnerable. This song gives off a similar vibe, and it's also inspired by one of my favorite science fiction stories. It's definitely one of the top songs of the year for me, and the whole album, of course, is also amazing.
'And anyway what you want and what you want to be are easily confused' amazing guys!
love the book, love this song.

By far my favorite song off the new record.
Read Daniel Keyes' book this weekend. Loved it. So, beyond your music, thank you for that too.
