Great video, very informative. I have friends check my kayak and vice versa upon launch. Cell phones, lids, skirt handles out, compasses all same headings. I tend to have loose back lid often for some reason. Thanks for posting.
I have romany sportive, i love it. It is also possible to roll. I wish to try it in more wave conditions. Once I lost hatch cover while transport, but not on water.... Was it impossible to empty kayak on the water? Thank for real good videos!
Real rescues, real incident management and looks like everyone kept a cool head - those sudden surging waves can always catch us out regardless of how careful/confident we are paddling. Is it just the camera angle or was it quite shallow there in places? Anyway, you guys nailed it!
@@jonathanhamnett4044 thank you. Yes there are rocks around. I was out doing some rock hopping, and where we did he rescue Hanne even stood on a shallow rock for a few seconds. None of us were at any time nervous or scared, that’s what a lot of training gives you.
@@JonasAlexanderson wow.. I need to do that too. My Rebel Greenland T just arrived to Hong Kong port.. should be able to unbox and try it this weekend. I’ll be practicing my rolls with it!
@@Fishaholicboy you are getting a nice kayak. I was doing the practice in my Rebel Ilaga today (it was already on the top of my car and I was too lazy to take any other kayak).
Not surprised she needed a rescue as i also have a Romany sport amd its a very tippy boat and kucky not to have lost a hatch cover as they aren't a great fit . Yes over all not a good boat but strangely gets good reviews 🤔
Very interesting and action-filled video with a little bit of drama there with the rescue! Cool speed gauges in the video. Is that from the Insta360 or some sort of software add-on for using the GPS data of the GoPro?
😮👍

Good advice. I normally let people check each other, kayaks, pfd:s and dry suits.
Looks like you had a great fun day and always good to see real world rescues!
It’s funny how two cold, windy and rainy days can be just wonderful in a kayak 😃
Great to see this very well made video, with real life incidents and dealing with them. Very interested to hear how it was made. A new career?
Already part of my new career 😀. And thanks Victor 👍🏼

@@109cow we did empty the cockpit but it was not possible with the rear hatch.

Was a little nervous watching kayaks flip.. but just shows if people are prepared, it’s not a big issue. Loved your recovery with the roll!
Thank you. That is why I practice a lot, was out today and did about 30 rolls.

I have tried a Romany Classic, far too big in the cockpit for me. Never tried the Surf.
No pumps/ paddle floats rolled up?
@@beingaware8542 We are three persons, no pumps needed, same with paddle floats. I don’t have a use for those. We all got tow lines.

Thank you. The speed gauge is from the remote control used with Insta360 X3. First time I try it.
@@JonasAlexanderson Nice. Looks very cool actually.
