Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Aurora 7/12/2024

To bolster the local agricultural sector and alleviate economic challenges in the Province of Aurora, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of various government assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and their families at the Senator Edgardo Angara Convention Center in Baler on July 12, 2024.
During the event, the President turns over farm machinery to local farmers and fisherfolk, aimed at boosting agricultural efficiency in Aurora. Additionally, he hands over PhP10,000 each to 10 selected beneficiaries from the Province.
Furthermore, the Provincial Government of Aurora receives PhP10 million to support local development projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Province, and provides five (5) kilograms of rice to each attendee.
On the same day, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) disburses PhP10,000 to each of the 10,000 beneficiaries.
Several key government agencies, including the Department of Agriculture (DA) III, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHILMECH), Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), DSWD, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) are also present to provide essential support and assistance.
