165 Light gun games. Compatible with pi 4, 8gb model and pi 400. Sinden Light gun installer. Note I also have the ability to configure the lightgun and additional settings in the future via the online toolkit using my custom tweaks. A few attract mode videos were edited. Hello, image is absolutely awesome.
Burned the image, runs with no issues however have drama setting up my Wii Remotes using the Mayflash Dolphin Bars (have used with other images in the past).
When entering retro arch options to activate the Mouse enabled menu, there is no light gun mode selection underneath? Whilst in games the a and b buttons are not registering?
Just confirming, do I have to set up the image following the below tutorials in order to get the wii remotes to work on this image;

Hey Kio, thanks for the hard work! Wiimote/Dolphinbar don't work as others have already commented. I'm stuck with the following:
- Wiimote was found (through Db) and buttons are set.
Problem 1: there is no lightgun option in your mame (only use mouse as... option)
Problem 2: when you start Area 51 in your video, my Wiimote won't react. "-"-Button brings up some Mame menu (line when pressing Escape). Do I have to config the Wiimote via Mame menu (tab)? Thanks in adance and keep up.the good work!

Just grabbed this and the Ultra base. Loving the base so far, added a bunch of Saturn stuff and running it with my 400. Can't wait to dig into this, no sinden for me yet but Wii and Mayflash. Hopefully still easy as your last image. Thanks Kio!!

@@kiodiekin oh well. Mayflash and 400 don’t play well and key commands keep changing. Get it to play but can’t control menu. Change settings. Get menu working but won’t play. Was hoping would be easier. Thanks tho. Looks like it should be fun.

Wow. Can’t wait. Hopefully it’ll be the be all end all for all things light gun. Safe to assume the classics? (HOTD1 & 2, Point Blank, Area 51, LE 1 & 2, JP, T2, MF, TC1 & 2 etc. ) What about the Area 51 sequel: Site 4? Can the PI handle that game? I haven’t seen anyone put that emulate that.) Then again the biggest SD card I’ve loaded is 256 but I watch a ton of PI 4 image reviews on YT and constantly pause the screen to read the game listings. (Yes, it might be a sickness) Also, is it possible to use a mouse in the interim? (I think my double black sindens will arrive in January, fingers crossed)

@@kiodiekin Quick questions. Did you make a "version 2" of pistolero? I was just on AP and sorted the PI4 images by date and yours comes up as most recent. There's some bullet comments (haha no pun intended) that says, "sinden lightgun preinstalled no set up needed". I thought you mentioned you weren't doing this either in video or maybe it was comments. I DL the image from AP on 16DEC. Just curious... Also, I can't find it anywhere but I could swear I either read or heard in a video somewhere that there's an issue with 2X Sinden guns of the same color. I ordered 2X black guns on Indiegogo and am curious about that too,

By chance there is any pistolero´s image version made for Recalbox? The wiimote´s key mapping is already set so it´s real just plug&play. I don´t know if someone put a spell betweeen me and retropie but i´m sick of it. I saw all the tutorials but I could never make it work. Do u think it is possible to move roms and bios to recalbox at make it work?

I can confirm that neither my sinden nor my aimtrak work with this image. I wish there was a hotkey to bring up the border but there isn't. The white border disappears when a game is started.
u can go into settings and save it in your core option

I really appreciate the amount of work that went into this. I also love the menus and how things work in the build. Especially with it being all lightguns. I only wish the theme wasn't so R-rated. Do you think you will put out a lightgun image that is more family friendly?

@@kiodiekin Very understandable. Maybe you could help me? I tried deleting some of the videos. That worked for the startup but when I go into the individual emulators they still play. Dreamcast and nintendo are particularly brutal. Where can I find them to disable them?
Also the lightguns are not centered but a good deal off to the lower left. What can I do to fix that? Or could you direct me somewhere I can get help? Thanks again for all your hard work and any help you can give me.
I tried to battle through, before bugging you, but I load it up on my nespi4 case, do the Sinden test to make sure it's on, I read through Andy's instructions, and setup RA like he suggests, but I cannot get it to work. IS there something I am missing?

@@kiodiekin I got it booted. Found the controller options, was able to test the Sinden then went to nes started up duck hunt (using lr-fceum), followed the instructions from the Sinden website on changing retroarch options... stuck. The trigger button isn't recognized. I tried changing the numbers next to the mouse in port 1 controls in the Retroarch menu.

They r both pretty good sinden is more accurate. Dolphin bar wii remote right now is easier to setup

Hey hon this is is kinda obsolete now. But u can try to do an eeprom update and that will cause it to boot. The new one is made for ae and gun4 lightguns with no sinden support

Ive never tried 2 honestly but some say 2 can work with one bar
Have you tried model 3 emulation on the pi4? documentation and tutorials look scarce, but according to compatibility table it should be possible (Lost World and Star Wars)

Dumb question. Is this image Sinden specific? I tried it with wiimote and there some quirks. Terminator=two crosshairs and no waynto get bacl to calibrate

I burnt the image twice but it didn't work. I see the LOADING state and then, just black screen. Any idea of what could it be? I have a Rasp Pi 4

Will Aimtrack work out of the box? I've tried other PI4 images and can't get the aimtrack script to work properly. It will see the gun but hangs after that. Thanks!

Kio: Great image. Quick Question: How the heck did you get lr-yabasanshiro to work for Vcop and vcop 2 for Saturn? I found yabasanshiro online and installed, then transferred over the roms you had on your image but I can't get either game to load. Just blanks out. My build is very customized and I'd rather cherry pick some of the roms I've not been able to find that you did onto my system. Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

For anyone else reading this with same problem, I had my light gun games in a separate folder, which works for every other system I have, but with lr-yabasanshiro, I needed to put everything in one folder. As soon as I did that it worked. I appreciate the immense time that went into your build -- there were a few games I couldn't find the right roms to that you had working and it was very cool to finally get them. The build is also very creative.

Hi Kio on the first boot after the video your image crash at the prompt. What can I do?
it says "Emulation station crashed! If this your first boot of Retropie - make sure you are using the correct image for your system. Check your rom file/folder permissions and if running on a raspberry pi, make sure your gpu_split is set high enough and/or switch back to using carbon theme."

Hey Kio, is there a way to port this over to PC using retrobat? I really need some lightgun games for my cabinet, and lots of the other releases I have like Coin Ops 2, Core TypeR don't have any lightgun games. Seeing Retrobat is basically emulationstation for PC a port would be awesome.

Hi I am an Italian guy who has always followed your releases and I find them fantastic. Could you help me with the gunslinger release? Yesterday under your advice I upgraded the Eprom because the configuration of my Aimtrack stopped... but unfortunately after this update everything hangs on the presentation video... can you help me out? i dont have any experience with aim track guns i suggest u contact the manufacturer since they made the software for linux. the software is just preinstalled so hopefully they have a tutorial for you.

He used the dolphin bar and sinden. He mentioned that in the video. He has tutorials regarding this in his playlist you tool.
I used the dolphin bar and tested the sinden gun with it. Of course joystick game pad works to
@@kiodiekin gotcha, thanks sorry i missed it in the video. I was playing with the image and both the Wii remote and sindon seemed to need setup within the emulators.
@@drewtalks yup, this shit didnt work with the dolphin bar and the wiimote.....terminator: judgement day kept giving me a calibration error.... after a few hours of looking online, trying to set it up, got frustrated and pulled the plug

to many users it is giving us an error message:
emulastation crashed
It’s a tv resolution issue. Most people r using a 4K tv. Use a native 1080 and then set the config to 720p or auto detect.
@@kiodiekin No, I and other users have tried HD TVs and still have the same problem. It is not a problem with 4k televisions.
Also, other images downloaded from arcade punks work flawlessly on 4k TVs.

Much the fix for most of the other users. I can’t trouble shoot equipment I don’t have and other images aren’t as advanced as ultra and updated.

This image was made for ir Lightguns if u wanna configure you’ll have to update the software and change the retroarch cores

Go to the config text and force 1080p I forget which command line it is

How do I turn off the pi marquee scripts in order to use pixel?
Goto visual tools and disable it in settings and options. Its of by default
@@KioBoomDiekin when i launch pixel the raspberry shuts off and i need to restart it..
@@landrec you prob need to reinstall it from retropie setup. That happens if something was changed. If retropie marquee is running then it won’t launch at all. But why would u use this on pistolero?
@@KioBoomDiekin still new to everything retropie. Thought I needed pixel to add the dolphin emulator and games. Could use some direction🤷🏽♂️

@@mario8686 look up eeprom update. There’s several version I’m not sure which one you need, but it’s def seems to be the issue

I downloaded this image I keep getting a 00:00:00 error message anytime I go into a different menu..... but I'm using your 327gb image instead it's working great.

How do I pay in download the image
Download it from arcade punks and flash the drive
ok i fig out how to download torent etc... then extracted .rar file into the the .img then wrote it to scandisk micro sd 64gb ultra card and plugged the card into my raspberry pi 4b 8gm model and intro screen came on then the emulators started loading and i was getting excited and then crash with blue screen. MESSAGE: "Emulation Station crashed! If this is your first boot of RetroPie -make sure you are using the correct image for your system. Check your rom file/folder permissions and if running on a Raspberry Pi, make sure your gpu-split is set high enough and /or switch back to using carbon theme. For more help please use the RetroPie forum." Please help me Kio DIEKIN i will paypal you money.
No need to PayPal. Do u have winscp. Login and delete the Pistolero theme i figure out what’s causing it until I can do a follow up. There was an additional update that’s causing large themes not to load. If u use one of the other themes at start it will load

ok i just got a hold of a older 720p HDMI tv i got the image to load up and i love it i been trying to hook up to Wi-Fi but for some reason cant. I put in the name and password i picked us country. there should be a Wi-Fi option in retropie options shouldn't there?

@@kiodiekinsetting the aimtrak right now and its recognized but doesnt work in game.
also is there a way to add more light gun games, you're missing carnevil and a few more.
