Hi Barry, any temporary fencing to keep animals out. It can be your own idea but for instance there are nylon or some type of inexpensive plastic fence / netting at farm supply stores for gardens that may work short term in water with stakes or rods that won't fall over. Uline has some Nylon safety fencing or netting I see listed. It also depends if you are protecting the plants from deer or carp or turtles... or all of the above. In late spring or summer most plants grow quickly and 8 weeks is often sufficient for them to root in and begin to multiply a colony of plants. In cooler weather longer fencing may be required. Hope that helps? One of the most awful phone calls or emails is hearing someones plants disappeared a night after being planted or were found tossed about the yard in the sun outside the pond all dried up by animals. After they root in that isn't an issue but in virgin soil night 1 it certainly is a concern. Kind regards!
Hello 👋🏻 I’ve got a question for you. Do lotus of water lily flowers make the pond water blurry or dirty? If so how can I have a clear transparent pond with the flowers on it? Also can I keep red asian carps there?
No all plants do quite the opposite. They steady water and particles. Koi make water muddy, full direct sunlight makes it green. Leaves and nutrient uptake clean the water and pond.
@@pondmegastore can we use non toxic blue water dye to prevent algae from occurring? And is there any other fish that does not make the water muddy? Lastly can lotus planta be planted on a marble pond?
@@orphicprince goldfish do not make water muddy. The blue dye often slowly poisons plants and prevents the very beneficial submerged oxygenators or emerging plants from. Growing.

What kind of fencing would you recommend? I'm looking for something to keep the Koi from new plants but not be a gill net for goldfish.

but Natural Earth Bottom Ponds need specific conditions for example clay soil and high water table.
Research bentonite clay for earth bottom ponds. You can have natural ponds in many areas very easily.
UR SO HANDSOME❤
