You realize it gets really horrific with those nuke moments when you think a bit balls deep about. Then the final one is, when Crimson 1 laughs like a psycho and fucks up your radar then sends a swarm of missiles at you. You think it is the worst possible thing for the moment and boom, he suddenly nukes the city. I honestly love this game's shock potency which is its own kind of taste.
Fun fact: Those huge docks resemble WW2 submarine pens, so ... *S A L V A T I O N* Also, I'm pretty sure the battleship is a Iowa hull with zumwalt style superstructure.

So this track, Presidia, is intresting because it combines Homestead (basically the lemotif of the country,) with Calamity, (basically the lemotif of the mercenaries, or so I think; it doesn't feel exact, but close enough,) while the previous mission is reminiscent of the first Peacekeeper theme. Basically, you've taken Crimson's place: his home has become yours, and he reacts as well as you expect.
In AC5 there is a pilot of the Grabacr squadron which says that they returned to haunt Razgriz in their dreams, and proceeded to scream afterwards. In ACZ there is a Belkan soldier in Hoffnung who says that everything is catching fire and is about to explode, and then he gets caught in an explosion and scream.
The moment the ceasefire is declared, it seems like it's going to go down the AC4 route, with the final mission being to destroy the WMD that the enemy obviously still has. Then the laughter starts, and you know you got the bad end.
The banzi call is an actual term in the pilot lexicon, its a call to press in aggressively to WVR (within visual range) after the intial BVR fight its actually a really nice touch for those nerds out there.
4:40 Kaiser's quote is a little Easter egg. Specifically, it's a reference to Commissar's speech from the opening of Alexander Sokolov's part of the Stalingrad campaign in "Call of Duty: Finest Hour."

I have a theory that monarch was part of a royal family in a nation and joined the airforce and proved to be an exceptional pilot but the federation came in and just wiped the existance of this country which made monarch just go to cascadia to meet comic and dip and he joined seciro along with them to avenege his country.

This game is not afraid of making the final battle goes wrong. Not a AC so far made the ending like this, because in the end, you always finish the war. But this time....They really made the 7 Great Nukes of Belkan, pale in comparison

Are friendly units in this game able to be shot down by enemies non-scripted? Like if the player stays idle and does nothing throughout the mission, do non-important friendlies get shot down eventually?
I don't know if you've found this out elsewhere, but yes. A few allies, the named ones mostly, are flagged as invincible, but the rest behave exactly like your enemies do in terms of health, damage, AI, etc.
Omg, I played it on VR with a Hotas and now checking your gameplays i see it was not me, the game is really 99% percent waiting for the automatic lock on and fire missiles.
