That good that she is getting better. We had 3 cows die. This year already. And what is your brother doing that he hasn't posted any videos in a while just wondering because I love watching his and your video. 👍❤💯
So happy you know what it is ❤️ Not sure if you put organic apple cider vinegar in her water, it’s used on all farms to help with parasites it’s what we have for our horses, cows and chickens. My niece has goats like you and use it monthly because it truly helps along with our twice yearly deworming. Just a thought you might not of heard of. Thanks again for sharing your time and animals 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow!! I worked for a parasitologist and one of worms we researched was he Barber Pole Worm (Haemonchus contortus). We had to artificially infect our research animals and one of my jobs was to check for the level of anemia. We needed a high enough level of infection to provide us with the worms for our research, but not so high as to really compromise our kids or lambs.
She’s the only one that really seems to be struggling with weight gain and energy, so I think the buck stressing her out had a lot to do with the worms really bothering her.
@@ADairyonthePrairie the reason I asked is that although any age can become infected, younger animals are more susceptible, which is why we used lambs and kids as research animals.
"Barbers Pole Worms" hmmm... that's a new one to me. Does Evie like car rides? Or does she just like hanging out with you? Glad she's better. Hope she continues to improve! Great video, Neline!
You can tell that Neline is a real animal lover, she cares so much for her animals, a lot of farmers (not all) would just right the goat off. A query because of the worm type does the infected animal have to stay isolated and do the rest of the herd need to be treated.
Is it time to test a few others in your flock, as a preventative measure? Fresh clean bedding can help stop the cycle, as well as treatment, but those can be so stubborn to eradicate.
My boy friend and I adopted a faril kitten we are eastmating her about six months old and we have her tamed down so we can get our hands on her and we even let her in the house and she has her own bed and she even gets under our feet
I had goats 20 years ago and got tired of fighting those same worms. Hot humid in North Carolina and it was a never ending battle. Hopefully you can got a handle on them.
I’ll be making a rotational grazing program this summer so that the worms aren’t such a problem. Online reading says that that’s the best way to handle them!
Is it possible to explain with doing AI why the calf rooms are getting over crowded? in group situations do you feed extra or same as each would otherwise get?
Great to see another responsible livestock producer, who knows their animals. So when do you hope to send some of your goats to market or start value added products such as soap and cheese
Oh yay she does look brighter! Yikes though barber pole worm - those can be extremely nasty at least here in the US there are some strains that are resistant to wormers and very hard to clear up. Coccidia would have been easier honestly but knowledge is power so now you have the answer! Might look into some Vit. B Complex injections if your vet didn't mention those they cannot hurt and have saved many a goats life trying to deal with various parasites. So sorry you are having to deal with this - did he say anything about worming the other goats just in case? She looks much better though the minute I saw her eyes in this video she is planning on living at least at this point. Please keep us posted on her progress.
Red cell When I see this in my goats. I will give them 6 to 8 (12ml) a day. For about a week straight Then back off on red cell just a little Separate From heard. Give high protein goat feed mixed with corn and high quality alfalfa
Are your other goats at risk to get it to. How do you stop it from spreading?
Glad to hear shes on the mend . Keep up the amazing work you do with the animals
Doing a great job. Thanks for sharing with us
So happy to see that your little one is doing better
Great job with Evie, I can definitely see the care you put into keeping your herd healthy. My hat is off to you neline. 🎉🎉
Continued Recovery!
Evie looks like she’s feeling better. Little more spunky if I must say. Hope you didn’t find any more of your goats infected.
You’re such a great mommy Neline, I love watching these videos !
I really hope the Goat will be back to full health soon and in turn a happy Goat means a happy Neline ❤

You're a good Mom.

She’s almost 2!

Might be both, I think 😂. She was watching the trees whiz by through the window haha.

I really love your Channel I learned so much
Its tuff being farmer especially when you get attached to the animals!
I hope the the best for you and your 🐐 goats!
Thank you!
So glad Evie is on the mend. I was wondering with the worm, are you worried that it could go through the herd?
Is it time to test a few others in your flock, as a preventative measure? Fresh clean bedding can help stop the cycle, as well as treatment, but those can be so stubborn to eradicate.
I’ll be purchasing the right equipment soon so that I can save myself the trip to the vet every time I want to get a fecal done!

Clean bedding every day.
If one of your goats gets barber pole worms, are the others at risk for that too?
Great to see another responsible livestock producer, who knows their animals. So when do you hope to send some of your goats to market or start value added products such as soap and cheese
Is there anyway to build a 5th calf room onto the complex?

How do you prevent it from infecting the other goats?
do have to do anything to prevent the spread of the worms?
How did she get the barb pole worms?
Where would Evie have contacted the worm? Do you have to deworm your whole herd?
So glad she is better. Is that a parasite that can be spread to the others?
❤❤😊
Is that parasite contagious to the other goats.
How to keep from reinfecting her or spread to others.
how do you treat scours in a group pen?
You can typically see scours on the tail/legs of whatever calf has it, so it’s hard to miss!

Neline , can you relist your farrier so I can go to her channel , somehow I did not write it down . Stay safe , enjoy .

5:57 can her worms be spread to others?
Your Sister should study to become a vet then the money stays in the family😂😂
