yeah i don't get what people love so much about her, she's done literally nothing. she literally even died off screen that's how little she's done. she didn't even get to die on camera. like mina keeps saying that she's her favorite character and im here like "over kafka? acheron? black swan? seele? firefly? robin has done literally nothing except sing and she hasn't even done that in game yet." And i don't know why hoyo is hyping her up so much. with acheron and kafka and dan heng it made sense since kafka was in the story previously and acheron is the raiden expy for this game, dan heng is a part of the express crew (and was from the star rail version of china, and hoyo is a chinese company). But robin has done quite literally nothing in the story so far except die and get fangirled over by march.

Mina going from not caring about Robin to being her biggest simp is peak character development.
One can even say Robin's technique worked well on her
So the imagery of a bird stuck in the cage everyone knows about that but the reason she's faceless, I think is referencing how because she's an extremely popular idol she's must hide her "face" from everyone and instead show them what they want to see, the always happy never sad idol Robin. I also thought about how her bringing color to the black and white world is a reference to how she's just wants to bring happiness and hope to the world. Also small detail but we saw her singing to the origami birds which if you remember, like Clockie, can only be seen by people with the innocence, kindness, and honesty like a child, or in more simple terms, pure people like the Trailblazer or Misha.
Also in her other song "If I Can Stop One's Heart From Breaking", the lyrics allude to the "birds trapped in the cage" trope.

You did watch the concert, right? Did you hear someone from the audience scream in Chinese after Chevy's first song? The translation: "I will be Robin's dog!" So, that specific random guy got a cameo/reference in this trailer.
Also, there's some crossover potential here. Robin was sitting on a whale, right? In Cardfight!! Vanguard, Lyrical Monasterio is a nation on the back of a flying whale where divas go to train in an academy to be that world's greatest performers and singers, just like Robin. Also, whenever there's a singer character anywhere, I can't help but to think of Ar Tonelico.

Have a strong suspicion Penacony's prison planet origins aren't quite over with Robin. She may be a free girlypop idol in the dreamscape, but in the REAL Penacony, seems like she is a caged bird.
Ever since she became popular, she has been like a bird in a cage with her brother and the Family, they will squeeze her dry to her final breath, especially now she can no longer sign, she is somehow a liability to them, I believe they either staged her death to make blame to others or she pretended to be dead in order to escape this terrible fate, but sadly, I think her only way out is real death as shown in the end of the trailer.
PS. maybe the astral express can save her by taking her away on the train?

Soo i just noticed at the beginning with all the cameras where they start like a clip for some Ad you can see it says Production: Sunday Camera: Sunday, so hes behind pushing her into the fame, i think he means good as a brother but i think thats why robin wanted to flee from him and the world.
He meant good for her? I don't feel it, he is just using her to gain higher status and position in the Family, I don't know if she is dead or not, but judging from his attitude and behavior, she is probably alive and under monitor, as we know from the story, she couldn't sing right now and that will make her a liability to Sunday and the Family.

@@asoret Right now until the 2.2 story unfold, we won't know what really happened to both of them, Sunday was stabbed? in the end of 2.1 story, did Sunday want to help her out? I do hope so, but we all know power can corrupt even the most pure heart person, and of course he is " angry " about what happened to Robin, if he acted like it's cool and nothing important then others will be sus of him isn't it? Like I said, I do hope he is caring of his sister and not using her as a tool to gain higher status within the Family.

Maybe it will be a metaphorical death. Rather than her dying, it would be the "death" of "Robin" the intergalactic popstar, her fame, and prestige... possibly by the Death meme scandal. However, she will now be free to pursue her own dreams to bring hope to others and not be trapped by the limelight.
After all, we've seen trailer images of her teaching (possibly war-orphaned) kids music and having a past that points to her family being trapped in a warzone and losing their mother to it. I think she truly wants the freedom to spread hope to struggling people, but now her fame is a shackle on her. So maybe she discards it in the quest and becomes free from her cage and able to soar.
