Bought a GT Challenger back in January. It's what I wanted as it's 305hp is more than what midsize (or most mids) trucks offer. Had the sunroof open. That will make the decibel reading a little louder. Other than that I had an AWD V6 but I live in Michigan and traveled a hour to and from work and the winters sometimes get brutal. I enjoyed my Charger
People want AWD cause it's cold out? Give me a break. As someone who lives in Canada, I will tell you straight up that a good set of winter tires trumps AWD any day of the week, for the simple reason that AWD will not stop you any faster on ice. All it will do is make you drive faster in conditions that you should be slowing down for. But whatever, I'm sure there's going to be a thousand people who can't wait to tell me how they couldn't make it out of their own driveway during the lightest dusting of snow before they got their precious AWD. If only I had a nickle for every time I cautioned someone that the roads are pretty bad right now, only to have them respond "Don't worry, I've got AWD".

It has 300 hp. That is gonna move with plenty of get up and go for normal driving. GT also means it should have the performance suspension instead of the base and even track pack. Dodge gives huge discounts with power dollars, etc.... it’s the only sedan left that you can get three golf bags in the trunk without putting the seats down. That being said, I bought the Hemi. Muscle Cars are not and never were the 6 cylinders versions and a Fairlane from the muscle car era was not considered full size like a Caprice.
I was able to get a 2015 5.7L V8 AWD police charger. I would have gone for the V6 but I got a good deal, and the V8 has cylinder deactivation, so it should be a good daily driver
Why do y'all talk about the platform being so old-- it's not like the platform in the car your driving was built 15 years ago; it's a new car you're driving. The platform got a major revision in 2011, and again in 2015! Each revision brought serious improvements over the model it replaced. You don't need to start from the ground up every 4 years just for the sake of having a new platform. These cars have been massaged into something far better than the original product.

Mohammad Bin Bishr so you really think this guy is going to off-road in a charger?
@@joskjj3625 I'm ready to take it offroading if I had one
They make a Police Interceptor AWD 450 horsepower charger with a V8 hemi. If you through a supercharger up there it can be a hellcat awd almost.
Thanks for the review I was on the verge of buying one soon definitely have had a change of heart
Why not have pursuit version? I had a V6 AWD I'm glad it got repo.(2019) Now I have V8 pursuit AWD(2021)
I just wish they would offer the Charger with a manual transmission :(
The police V8 AWD still comes with the 5 speed transmissions. And the mpg penalty.
Y'all can hate, but my AWD Charger is the best. Especially in the snow. And it's still quick as.
God I wish they would do a hatch back version of these. I can’t go back to a normal car trunk after having a crossover.
If it's not a V8 it's not a Muscle Car, so no what you have right here is just another AWD V6 sedan in disguise as a Charger
I beat the crap out of Charger GT with my CVT Maxima in a straight away... XD! I was surprised.
Great review guys. I have one nit pick....instead of saying “navigate to snarfs?”, try saying “find snarfs?” If you look into the navigation screen, it references the word “find” alot. Keep up the good work!!
Muscle cars are not defined by the car itself. It's the engine that makes it a muscle car.
So apparently the new charger pursuit will have the 8 speed backed up by the 5.7 and awd. Michigan state police already tested one.
I remember the old Fairlanes n Caprices Tommy mentioned... Thanks Roman n Tommy⭐⭐Great job
The new Camry & Avalon V6 could keep up with this...
The Hudson Hornet coupé is regarded as the grandaddy of the American muscle-car, and it had a straight-6.
Wonder what FCA was thinking splitting AWD from the V8, especially now that there's no SHO to compete with.
The earlier V8 AWD models had a 5 speed automatic. Not having the V8 AWD has to do with the current 8 speed. Why, I know not. May be physical packaging limited.
Roman : “Best heated seat and steering wheel in the business “
Me : “ You haven’t driven Kia products in a while “
Stinger is way nicer
J Shapiro than the optima or charger
@@southkiddJ stinger is one of the nicest cars on the market it's still sporty seating position is nice interior is good trunk space is also nice it is pretty decent speed passes easy ECT I think honestly the Ford fusion eco boost wishes it could be the stinger and the Maxima has to be fully loaded to compete seats are nicer that's about it.....Kia and Hyundai are killing it
J Shapiro Trust me, I am well aware as an Kia supporter
Lol Kia!
The police in my area have the V6 awd chargers for sure. As well as other other makes and models.
Do you know the mods they have on their vehicles?
Do you believe they will truly Boost this engine for the vehicles going forward?
FCA lied about the starter motor because the Chrysler 300 is the same exact car underneath and had a V8 and Awd 😑
Police version is based on the 5.7L Hemi mated to the 5 Speed Automatic Transmission.
Had the sunroof open. That will make the decibel reading a little louder. Other than that I had an AWD V6 but I live in Michigan and traveled a hour to and from work and the winters sometimes get brutal. I enjoyed my Charger
That's BS. My mom has a 2012 300 with a Hemi with the exact same AWD system in the new cars with the V6.
in the first minute you failed to mention its got a small v6 and its now where near as fun as a rwd v8 car
I have a 2013 RT plus AWD, it is the best of both worlds
Hey guys, great video as usual. Here in NH, I am running a 2018 5.7 AWD but yes it’s a State Police cruiser. And my personal vehicle...you guys are dead in the heated seats and steering wheel in my Pacifica and our J.L. are awesome.
These cars have been massaged into something far better than the original product.
thats the old 3.6 pentastar. the new one has variable valve lift and egr. they are trying to move the last of these old ones hence no v8 awd.
Big turbos Bahbeee! Up to speed on the Dodge Charger. Oh, wrong car enthusiasts channel.
100% agree with Pops its isn’t muscle car if it don’t have a V8 Especially an American one, (my opinion)
Are the front seats really that tight? Or were you both pushed up against the dash because of the backseat camera man and / or you're both 6' 2 or higher?
FCA's V6's are great in my grandmother's 2018 Chrysler Pacifica has beaten the new Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and some Jeep's and in my mother's 2017 Chrysler 200S Awd had beaten the Jeep Cherokee, Dodge Charger and Challenger V6, and other cars but this mostly happened on the highway
They all owned by the same parent company. Power output should be about the same.
I'm agree with Tommy, it's way too much money for $46K. Resell on this type of car is so bad. Wait for 2 years if you can and get it almost half off.
