Woow! I have seen a few skyscrapers in my life but this lagos approach is impressive to say the least. It's as if lagos is building skyscrapers version of Goegian and Victorian architectures in grand style not just high rise buildings with glass... Now people will begin to understand why our national anthem starts with "Nigeria we hail thee"..Whoever wrote those words knew what Nigeria can do long ago..Welldone to lagos state,l hope they take it to other parts of the state. And l pray other states in Nigeria wake up and starts to build as well, even if not to the level of lagos. Can you bring us lkeja G.R.A please?Thank you mate.

What Lagos needs is a good city planning, more importantly the roads and the pedestrian walking sides, also planning more big buildings in the same area, instead of building them isolated. That's the only reason why east African cities like Addis, Nairobi, Dar look more advanced, it's due to better planning which makes them reach world standards developed cities. That's why Eko Atlantic is actually a very great idea, but we see how slow the project is.
@@MyAfricaView Bangladesh did it. I hold nigeria to a very high place. Nigeria shouldn't even compare with those East African countries I named, Nigeria has more than the potential to plan and build world standard cities like in east and south east Asia. Egypt is building 3 or 4 well planned world standards cities. I'm not trying to be negative, but Nigeria has too much potential to surpass South and North Africa. A big population is also a resource , I'm here in China, and I see it every day.

People talking about poor planning, there are parts in America, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi etc with absolutely no side walks, you can only get about in cars. Places like Dubai have zero sewage and in fact in the uk, they are now dumping raw and untreated sewage in rivers and sea. Planning is not easy for anyway. The fact that Africa is starting to develop fast is key, but doesn't Nigeria's oil and gas come from the Delta state? It is a generation curse to believe you have to keep the people poor who are living amongst the actual resources.
There are sidewalks, don't exaggerate except there's dirt in your eyes, just that a Megacity like Lagos with a population of over 20 million, and with so many vehicles, car parking takes part of some sidewalks, unfortunately
@FreddyPateki Lagos looks beautiful, but I think people shouldn't be forced to walk on the roads because of cars. It's a health and safety issue, I've watched many videos about Lagos but this one is very good.
@@MyAfricaViewseems u don’t know side walk, naija is very very bad with landscaping n no decent low advanced side walk the type you’ll see in cape town, Joburg etc
Not beautiful, especially not with slummy open drainages that’s typical of naija n not many decent advanced low side walks the type u see in Johannesburg, Cape Town n other advanced city, dunno why naija is shying away from such. This is the biggest problem with naija cities, no beautiful wide pedestrian walk way where mothers can walk with baby strollers, or disabled ride their electronic/manual wheelchair. Naija is bad with landscaping n cables everywhere lol

Anybody who lives in the US knows this. You get thousands of calls from India and Pakistan trying to scam you with the IRS, yet anything to tarnish Africa's image is always in Western media. Nigerians are not saints, and so is the rest of the world
Love Lagos me from Dar es salaam Tz
It is important for people to watch the first 2 videos as well to begin to appreciate what is going on in lagos...

Lagos is well planned. It was planned by the British if that helps! But how do you plan for so many people in a third world?

the area where you find skyscrapers in lagos is very vast and dispersed. running from marina to Lekki and then Ikeja Central business district.

Bro talk about Angola please:
Kilamba city
Luanda city
Zango 8000
Vila Pacifica
Centralidade do Dundo
Jardin das rosas Talatona
Talatona city Luanda
The planing is very poor, very narrow roads without proper drainages and walkways. Also very populated too.
Who builds a city without sidewalks for the people
