Muse is perhaps my second or third favorite band, and I especially love their older stuff and B-Sides. Hullabaloo soundtrack is my favorite album by them, right there with Origin of Symmetry as a close second. My favorite song is Recess. Super cool and nostalgic to see you react to them. Their sound is different now - not bad, or course, but radically different.
You should really listen to The Handler and Reapers (from their recent 2015 album Drones), it doesn’t hold up as much as their previous albums, but you may be surprised. Also Dead Star is 16 years old! Time flies
FlyingSpoon4657 Eh nope. You can literally just google Dead Star and find its release date. It was played live in 2001 but wasn't recorded and released until 2002.
If you wanna find more obscure Muse songs, check out their B-Sides album Hullabaloo Soundtrack, many of them are B-Sides to Origin of Symmetry. Or, if you wanna get back into heavy stuff, check out Gallifrey Falls. They're super good and I think you'll like them. Obey is a great starting point.
if all of their songs were like this I might actually listen to them, gonna throw 'first signs of frost - meat week' in the suggestions again, they deserve some exposure!

Berried Alive - Alarm Clock From Hell Berried Alive - Catalina Beach Also some non-metal (Greg from DEP) The Black Queen - Ice to Never The Black Queen - The End Where We Start
it's sick to hear you love Origin, it's my #1 album ever, I recommend you react to Citizen Erased Live @ Hullabaloo, it's arguably the best version of it live, or New Born live at Wembley stadium 2007, not the audio, the video, I promise they'll kick your head in
Not really ever been a muse fan, however I've found some good stuff by their's recently. I've been told of a band recently called 'sleep' and the song called 'holy mountain' checked it out and that shit is meaty af. Would be cool for you to check it out. Don't think they are that well known. But yh keep it up dude.
Please react to Run Wild, Young Beauty by Hotel Books, personally just found out about it tonight on spotify while listening to things other people have suggested on this channel, it's got that similar raw and passionate style of vocal delivery and emotional narrative you've heard in bands like Being As An Ocean, Movements, and Casey
Dead Star was on its own record along with "In Your World" in 2002. Muse really embraced that particular vibe for a flash after 9/11

Their HAARP show at Wembley Stadium was one of the best performances I've seen on video. One of the few bands that sounds better live than on record.

Finest music ever created in my humble opinion.
Absolution was their masterpiece imo. The slow songs on that album are peak Muse.
Excellent taste.
This came out in 2002, 16 years ago 😮
