Players should take note of the 3 o'clock shot! It's easy to think that since you're wanting to bring the cue ball back, that you must use some amount of bottom spin. Bryant's 3 o'clock demonstration shows otherwise. A lot of the times the side spin can do all the work you need.
That's true, and that is how I would shoot this shot most of the time. But using english makes the shot more difficult. I really think center ball training is the way to start, then work on the english as Tor Lowry coaches. I had a Filipino teach me that the best way to get around the table is to use english, but you have to understand where the ball is going to go with no english before you can really be good at actually using english.
@@jamesdavis8731 I agree. This is more of an advanced system. These positions are also obtained at dead center heart of the pocket. . If you make the ball in another part of the pocket will effect this. He may have mentioned this and I didn't hear it.
I actually seen Kid Delicious did this one first. Buddy Hall did one similar, it was just a different drill set up. But yes, classic! My lower skill level teammates never heard of it.
I am not a lower level skill player (I am a pretty solid player) and I am surprised this is the first time I have seen this drill. I love drills and practicing, but never seen it done this way. So this is an eye opener for me and I can see how really working on this can make a big difference in shot making and position play.
Thank you for this, it's great But I have a question, in the last visualization before the videos ends( 10:18) , why you changed the hitting points of 7, and 9 o'clock hit! while in the drill they were hit different diamonds or points on the rail...! Keep Em Comin 🎱🌻🌞
Is there a way that we can predict the path of the cue ball... Anywhere using the clock system.... I will definetely be going on the table to investigate
If we practice the clock system in this specific position on the table, how do we know where the cue ball will end up if were a different set-up? Bc the cue ball and object ball would not always be in that exact position.
I for the most part understand how english works but can never FULLY understand the clock system. How can I incorporate the clock system if Im not in that same starting position that you are? If the angle and such is different.
@@Corner4Billiards I used something similar learning years ago. . With this I'm guessing the distance between the cue ball and object ball can increase each clock number by 2 and 3 diamonds?
and one more thing that you did not mention in this video your one might not be somebody else's on-the-clock and there is also an interior one- and a alterior one on-the-clock like I said Bert come up with this idea a lot of people just jumped on the bandwagon
Well I didn’t didn’t jump on anyone’s bandwagon sir. In fact , I don’t know a Bert . I watched Buddy Hall and Kid Delicious. I did mentioned that you need to find you owe stroke using the clock system.Thank you very much.

Thx Chris for pointing that out bro.

Yup, depending on where the balls lay you might have to take another route to get there.

That’s where you can practice from different positions

Just have to put in the table time. These sets are designed to give a reference of what the path would be.
