To me, Yeungling is just what beer tastes like. It doesn't try to be fancy, it's just simple and straightforward and tasty. Great with wings or pizza. And like you said, you can put down 6 of them and not even realize it, because it's such a clean taste. Thanks for the review
My first beer. Sitting on my grandfather lap, chugging a Yuengling. I was no older the three. Back in the day in Phoenixville Pa. Thanks for the review and memories.
Looked up your video because I was trying a Yuengling and couldn’t describe why I like it. Thank you for your insight; you are a gentleman and a scholar.
I live in Texas and I had my first yuengling last night. I honestly can say I had my first sip and I couldn’t help but just smile it was soo tasty and refreshing. I’ve been drinking since I was 18 (29 now) and I couldn’t believe that this beer has been out of reach for so long. It’s easy to see why there’s been so much hype about it coming to Texas.
Just bought my first one today. I am 42 now and have been drinking this since I was 15. I was so happy when I heard it was finally going to be sold in Texas
Grew up on tasteless American beers in late 70's thru most of 80's. Went to Germany in 88' & found what real beer was! Came back home and started drinking Samuel Adam's Boston Larger which was my favorite American brew at the time. Then Yuengling Traditional Lager came out and this is the only beer I purchase. I just tried this, "Summer", Yuengling Golden Pilsner and this will be my Summer brew with an AVB of 4.7 just .2 higher then the AVB of 4.5 of the Yuengling Traditional Lager. Both are wonderful beers for a fair non-craft price...
Greetings from Denver as well. Out here we call it "the beer that the west forgot" because that jawn hasn't made it out to the Rockies yet. Happy holidays!
I have tried and tried to find a better tasting beer in its price range and THERE ISN'T ANY. In fact, Yuengling makes such a quality product that many beers that are much more expensive aren't as satisfying as this lager is. As for bang for your buck, this is the top of the mountain.
Production starts in my adopted city of Fort Worth, TX fall of 2021. I became a big fan of this smooth Lager when I traveled to Pittsburgh, PA on business trips. This and Abita Amber are my favorites.
When my husband and I would go to visit my family in Pennsylvania, we would buy a couple of cases of Yuengling for us and one of my husband's coworkers since it was not sold in Connecticut at that time. Today we went to an Italian restaurant and had a traditional Yuengling in a frosted mug and that made it even better!
I was walking in the middle of Old Charleston in South Carolina. It was one of the hottest July days on record. My wife and I slipped into a small historical pub and had yuengling for the first time. At that moment it was the best tasting beer in the entire known universe and I've been hooked ever since
Yeungling became my go to beer when I first had it in college. Great flavor, malty, clean, no gimmicks. It's what a simple beer is supposed to be for me.
The added history certainly makes this lager sound really special. 🤗. It is indeed Friday, Christmas is coming. Salute my friend. Let's drink together. Cheers & Merry Christmas ⛄❄🎄🎁🎅
I barely noticed this beer in small towns in Texas all the way back home to Houston recently...gave it a chance and I'm not disappointed at all!!! It reminds me of a "Rolling Rock" beer.
Only ever had it in the can. But I enjoyed it a couple years back. I’m gonna have to try it in the bottle. Gonna pick up some for the start of football season this weekend. Great review. Cheers!
Yuengling Lager is one of my favorites! I used to have to go across the river to get it. I like that crisp taste, when you're done you're done. Speaking of Stroh's, I remember my parents having a couple Stroh signs in the basement. I thought they went out of business but I guess not. They used to always talk back in the day that Burger beer was their low quality beer of choice. My grandparents had a semi truck deliver it straight to the house!
Good video! I have definitely had plenty of these before but decided to watch anyway. I think your description was spot on. Yeungling is my go-to weeknight beer. I love craft beers, IPA’s hold a special place in the fridge, but I’ve never drank a yeungling and thought anything other than “that was good”. Thanks for the video.
Loved the video! I appreciated the history lesson, and you seem like you really know your stuff. And hey, a fellow Kentuckian! I’m glad we finally got access to this beer. Cheers.
Cool story about yeungling. During prohibition, yuengling started making ice cream to stay afloat. It was successful enough to keep them alive until prohibition lifted. This is one reason why they are the oldest continuously operating brewery in America. - I'm not a historian, just recounted a vague memory I had. Mistakes are probably made.
I am not a true beer drinker but I appreciate all the thought that you put into this review, When I was a young girl we had a Strohes brewery in Detroit but they have been gone for years. We do have the ice cream division though. Great job my friend! Merry Christmas.
I'm actually having my 1st Yuengling Traditional Lager right now as I'm watching your review. It's in a bottle and it's nice and cold. I got to admit, I love it. ❤ Thanks for your review buddy.
@@distlledbrewedreviewed Oh for sure! I subscribed right aftet i saw your review last night. I love what your chsnnel is all about. I've been binge watching all your vids since last night and they're awesome. Keep up the good work.👍🏼
Nice review man. This is probably one of my favorite lagers. I was fortunate enough to tour the old brewery in Pottsville PA about 12 years ago. Cheers man.
Yuengling Traditional Lager is something new ..we have a shop here in Melbourne where i can get basically any beer you can imagine i ll ask about this one - im going there tomorrow
Nailed it. Couldn't agree more. I laughed and rewound it when you said "Be careful with this -- you'll put down six of 'em before you know what's going on." That's how I came to love this beer. First time I tried it, at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, NY, I didn't like it. Then a few months later at a festival gig in Scranton, they had a keg of Yuengling backstage. After three or four cups of it, I was hooked. Total 180 from my first impression. As you said, the subtleness, the malts, the crispness and lack of aftertaste is what makes this beer great. Now we have it here in Texas, and I'm thrilled.
Another Great Review. I like Yuengling because of just that a Solid Tasting Beer, Very Good Body and Nice and Smoooooth. I look forward to the next review. Great Stuff. 👍
HillbillySelectReviews I know they have those tours, but I never went for one. I’m not a big beer drinker. But will take their cold lager on a hot day.
You got your Flyers colors on - drinking Yuengling.. You couldn't stop drinking it between talking.. finished it before you knew what was going on. Yuengling is a great beer - not my #1 go-to, but they have respect and have a place in my top 5. Here in Philly if you ask for a "Lager" at the bar, they'll give you a Yuengling.
I've never tried yuengling. Thanks for the review. Something caught my eye when I was in the store buying my Corona. It was a beautifully shaped bottle of Grey Goose infused with Cognac. I'd love to see you do a tasting of it
It reminds me of a cross between PBR and Budweiser. For a beer on a hot day on the lake, it's low enough ABV, you can drink one an hour and never get a buzz, and smooth enough to not hurt your stomach drinking it like that.
Yuengling is awesome.. I am originally from Jersey as well... I think they did the Old German brand in the 1970s (my grandmother's go to beer for when she would have the occasional beer). I can't drink too much beer anymore, but if I do... it's either the Black & Tan or the Traditional Lager
Yuengling Lager is good but my least favorite of the three I've had. I really enjoy Black and Tan and have only recently had the Porter. It's the go to beer around my neck of the woods. Cases of bottles/cans run 10-12$ so you can't beat the price. Nice review as usual man.
My go to brew. Once you start drinking it other american lagers taste like water. The only other two american brews I enjoy are Miller high life and PBR.
Probably would not be available in Canada, still enjoy the review and history on this one. Canadians generally frown upon U.S. beers due to the lower Alch. I have noticed a huge shift from the 5% standard beer here as more and more are Coor's Light drinkers with less alch. Merry Christmas Holidays

The story of the family and the brewery makes the beer taste better. I have taken the tour and its worth the drive from Indiana.
Yes omfg the taste is so clean like wtf. Scary
Got a 12 in the fridge now love it
Would love for it to come out West. I make a point to it whenever I go to Texas or Arkansas

Good old Yuengling. I am glad it showed up in Louisiana, in 2014.
