I love that they have a regional serial but I don't know how I can possibly pay for every race that has suddenly decided to do their own streaming service. I grew up at Santa Maria speedway watching my family race there for years and eventually racing there myself, super happy that the track is coming back, it’s only 10 minutes from my house!!!!
Great news for Santa Maria. Look at the field of cars that ran at last week’s asparagus cup, they have a high quality group of cars and drivers certainly. Hopefully they get good tracks to race on.
Real excited to hear about the dedicated safety team for the ASCS. Like the WoO sprint cars the WoO LM series needs this as well. The safety measures are the absolute best thing that can be done for dirt racing. All of the purse money in the world cannot bring back a human life. Thanks Justin!
Marlar I believe doesn't get enough mention of being a threat this year. He's been fast everywhere this year so far....
These dedicated safety teams are probably some of the best investments since adding roll cages!

Not sure if you know this Justin but Grandview opened up this past Saturday night with Mike Mahaney dominating and leading all 50 laps for the Modified win , love seeing him win as it’s always a team effort and he gets so excited when he wins he’ll get on top of his car and will start jumping up and down on it , for Al, of you who don’t know who Mike is he is the husband of Mandy Pauch the Daughter of the great Billy Pauch Sr and we all should know who he is !
And there was a huge number of modifieds trying to make the race, so that makes his win that much more special!
Thanks for sharing the good news about Santa Maria Speedway. This place became my new home track after moving up here to the central coast. I felt the pain all over again when it closed, because I use to live in the greater Los Angeles area and was a visitor to the famous Ascot park in Gardena, CA, and when that closed I was so bummed out. So when I heard of this news of SMS reopening I was a happy camper again! Love the show, keep up the good work! 🏁👍😀
I hoped for Calistoga , but Santa Maria is cool . I’ve never been there so maybe this time I’ll get there. I live in woodland now, and motorcross is my thing. My grandson is kind of a badass on two wheels , but any sprint car tracks in California is a good thing . Great job , I this show.

santa maria speedway is my home track, so glad to finally see some life back at the track i grew up racing at
Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas is reopening sometime this year.

I remember racing at Hanford on Friday night and Santa Maria on Saturday night. This was back in the 90s..
can you talk about Calistoga Speedway in northern California? The city agreed to buy the fairgrounds, and the track is hoping to get going for next season.
Talked to a race fan last month at Chico who lives in Calistoga and he said they are cleaning up the race track and surrounding area (golf course too) and are planning a few races in 2025. Finger cross!
Been attending races at Santa Maria since 1979. It’s a very racy little joint!

Good news from the west.
We are losing dirt tracks in Florida.
I appreciate the effort to reconfigure Stockton but in my opinion, it was a failure. They have several tracks with great racing to model after, Placerville, Merced, Tulare. I know the process can't be easy bit with the time and money involved, it should have been a better track.
From what ive heard, stockton dirt track was absolute garbage.
@sweetdaddydee1314 Stockton is going to be a work in progress. Saturday was the very first event on the new reconfiguration, plus the weather was hell the day before. Delta Speedway on the exact same property cancelled their show.

Safety? On US speedways?? Very little of it. Start with the tracks,, proper 6 foot + high fences with GATES to access the track. Proper catch fences to keep the cars in the track. Just watched the NZ clip. A track that had both a fence and a catch fence. Unlike so many US tracks.
Cars leaving the track,, Carly Holmes riding a wheel and ending up in a creek. No fence and creek hiding in the trees. This in the last 18 months.
