@@janesally271as I said before; it was her choice. She wants people to know what she’s been through, that would also include being a mother going through a divorce. Can’t we look on the bright side? Her son can look back at this song and see all she went through when he was young.

The voice notes are recordings she was advised to record by her therapist as a way to deal with the separation process but also her worry about saying something wrong to Angelo while she was vulnerable. the purpose of it was she can listen to the recording later and correct herself if necessary. she discussed this in an interview with apple.

She said that don’t worry baby, you are the love of my life, my special boy. The focus of the song is HER feelings. And how dare you call such a song “stupid”? Who are you? My Little Love is soft jazz. You will notice in the Go Easy on Me video the sheets of music on the floor and flying out the car. She is telling us to expect some different sounds on this album. Everything in that video gives us a clue, everything is symbolic of an emotion and what she is experiencing. Her music is very complex. Her voice and the lyrics are the focus of her albums always. The albums are expertly put together, totally unique and totally Adele.

I kinda disagree, 30 is her most emotional album, 21 is emotional but I don’t think it’s as emotional as 30, 21 is more of rage and emotions but 30 is just love, destruction, emotions and acceptance. 25 is a Queen I respect on its own, 19 is young love and heartbreak and I love her.

First time I listened to the album in full I knew there were strong songs but I wasn't sure about it as a whole. But after two/three listens I think it's safe to say this really is a great fucking album. I love that she's experimenting with some new sounds, it sounds mature but still very modern. Personally I really like cry your heart out, although I see a lot of mixed reactions to it. I just can't get that hook out of my head. 🤷♀️

I don't think _Woman Like Me_ is about her ex husband. I do believe it's about her romance with Skepta. Listen to the lyrics. They're from the same "hood" as you Americans would say. It also fits in with the chronolocigal order. The album starts with her wallowing in misery after the divorce. Then there's those few songs that reference the time she started dating again. The interlude and this song are probably about Skepta.

I'm 28 and I just couldn't stand any more of my friends (who are around the same age) talking about Olivia Rodrigo's album. I mean, it's cute and all, but I've been done with the whole teenage drama like 10 years ago. Now THIS is a grown up album. The complexity of emotions, the internal conflict, the way of dealing with heartbreak, THIS is what I needed in my life. No one can do it like Adele.
As a 27 year old I agree! Olivia‘s Sour was cute for a hot minute to feel like you’re 17 again (but who really wants that tbh?!?). I would have needed that album 10 years ago.

Also 30 is an extremely mature album. U need to sit quietly and hear the lyrics. I am not saying it is an album which needs serious hearing ,but u definitely need to be in a mood. It is a very special album.

I just laughed so hard at left Matt’s face when Adele sang “can I get it” that I almost puked lol!
I Drink Wine is a bit "safe" considering how bold the rest of the album is. But I love the message it upholds; it's an anthem of shedding ego and outgrowing one's limiting, self-pitying habits, so I'm glad the 0.01% of the world who haven't already injected 30 directly into their arm will now have this. Can I Get It is a good song, but it'd be a bit hollow as a single. It isn't actually about being horny for a hookup (thankfully, because I always liked that Adele had a bit more class about her, and honestly shallow hookup culture is something I find deeply alienating); in her Zane Lowe apple interview she points out that this isn't really her. The song is actually about trying to find a meaningful relationship in a world drowning in people obsessed with their next fix of casual sex.

This album is lacking memorable hooks, the way 21 & 25 were so strong of. Its def not as strong, instant & grabbing on 1st listen.
Honestly, I'm a massive Adele fan and on first listen I was taken aback because of some of the different sounds but I've had it on repeat pretty much constantly since yesterday and genuinely it grows on you. The more you listen, the more you hear. The better it gets. Keep going..
