One of the best songs ever written. Period.
Yep
💯
Absolutely
I agree with you
Wish the talking heads could collaborate again, their music was simply genius!!
Im 60 on Wednesday and this is my everyday can't do without it God bless David Byrne
Who's ready to talk about how David's vocal abilities are SO underrated?? And the joy in singing is so genuine 😍 😍
His voice is better now than it ever. He works hard at everything he loves.
Oh! Looks like I'm just the second guy to reply.
If he is so underrated why is he in the rock and roll hall of fame?
@@RICREYNOLDSMUSICthat's true jaja
My husband and I listen to this daily also, I guess because it perfectly expresses how we feel. We are 68, and 71, and have loved David's music and lyrics all these 46 years together. Rock on.
Hay que vivir hasta donde nos llege el límite ,no paren de disfrutar y ser felices , FELICIDADES MIS AMIGOS.
if this isnt my marriage i dont want it
I'm convinced this is as close to genius as man has achieved
"Out of all those kinds of people, you've got a face with a view."
I feel the same way.
Guy's almost 70 and still hoppin around the stage. What a beast.
He's amazing
This was recorded in 2001, 22 years ago. He was only 49 at the time.
We played this at our Mum's funeral. Beautiful words. Beautiful song. Still makes me cry.
I literally watch/listen to this at least once a day. You can't help but feel happy hearing it. This is my favorite love song.
It was my wedding march song
What a beautiful Song to be obsessed with 😎
Top song will still be played in another 40years looking forward to the 6nations rugby come on Wales cheers James Anthony
I’m 19 so I’ve never had the chance to catch david bryne live, but if I ever do and I really hope that I’ll get the chance to see him and hear him play naive melody.. cause if he does, I will cry my eyes out
Go, just go!...He is still making the best concerts I've seen and I'm 60! ( that's a lot of rock'n'roll under my bridge!!!)
MrRumpel he’s supposed to have a whole mess of shows this fall in NYC
The show he is doing on Broadway is amazing AND they do Naive Melody.
I thought the same thing being young but having been raised watching stop making sense. I was 25 when I saw him Glasgow on the American utopia tour. it was honestly a one of a kind show. if you can, see him in person. it's an entirely different experience.
The strings are having such fun. One of my favorite songs.
When I die, this will be the first song I want played at my wake.
Oh you bastard!, that's my first choice too, do we now have to compete on who dies first for first dibs?;)
Would you like it more when you're dead?
also my number one choice!
William Griffith - no
And you will have found your place...
David Byrne = Musical Genius.
YES!!!
generational talent
One of the most underrated love songs of all time.
@P McGill Not it is not. Jesus.
@P McGill He himself said it was. Go home. You are drunk.
Any additional yammering you are about to share with us is simply your own interpretation and will never stand up against his actual spoke and written words. Moving along...
@P McGill Now I get it. You instruct kids this version you hold to be true. Now I get the ferocity of your statement. Makes complete sense.....
OMG . is it about the falsities of a dead relationship?..I didn't know that..fuck I thought it was about longing, belonging and warmth..fuck it all to hell. you have enlightened me and ruined this song for me or have you just given me a new appreciation for it ? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
David was like a time traveler with his music because he was ahead of his time.
The BEST song "The Talking Heads" ever created.
I love that the strings are all smiling.
What a fabulous live version of such a fabulous song. Those strings were a brilliant idea.
the string arrangements are out of this world good. absolutely fantastic.
Tosca Strings. They performed with him at an amazing outdoor venue in Grand Rapids MI years ago (probably during this tour) One of the best concerts ever.
absolutely agree
They were with him for the Jools Holland show appearance I England too. This and that renditions are the best IMHO. And there are a LOT of great versions of this tune.
It's like they tapped into the frequency of life when they wrote this song.
Every musician smiling like : Byrne, man, I'm playing with David Byrne!!!...
Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me around
I feel numb, burn with a weak heart
Guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground, head in the sky
It's okay, I know nothing's wrong, nothing
I got plenty of time
You got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money, always for love
Cover up and say goodnight, say goodnight
Home, is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home, she lifted up her wings
I guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from the other
I find you, or you find me?
There was a time before we were born
If someone asks, this is where I'll be, where I'll be
We drift in and out
Sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
And share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up
Eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head
This must be the place
Every version of this song is unique on it’s own 🙂
SCOTTISH LEGEND 🏴❤️
I’m so happy to see that people love this song as much as I do! Absolute classic.
David Byrne: ‘I’m able to talk in a social group now - not retreat into a corner’ . Still looking good at 65 Monsieur Byrne. :D
One of the most beautiful songs about finding love and happiness ever written.
Listening to this masterpiece with tears running down my cheeks. David Byrne's lyrics have a way of reaching deep into my soul. God bless him!
Beautiful song, beautiful lady.
He was so far ahead of his time that people will still not figure him out for years. Absolute genius
My absolute favorite song all through my life. Thank you David and Talking Heads

Saw him in Auckland...yes I know he is a genius 🙏🏽✊🏾👍🏾♥️
Came for the song, stayed for the strings.
These strings are so angelic. What a spiritual experience.
I miss the lamp
I think he does too

GOOSEBUMPS
Yet, another talented Scotsman .
My favorite version of a great song!
David Byrne/talking heads songs are so applicable and so awesome every day we exist
The string players are just happy as hell to be a part of this. Who wouldn't be?
This song has always been one of my favorites, even during
the ebbs in my life. I've been happily married to my new wife for 18 months, that followed 18 years in a far less happy marriage to an ex-wife that was the keeper of my houses. Now, my home (my first) is at last, the "place". This is a song that I listen to at least once a day, but that I live all day, ever day---now that I can't wait to get to my home. I've had houses before, but never a home. If my happiness annoys the reader, I'm sorry...
not at all, enjoyed what you said
This was the loveliest thing to read. ❤️
Your previous marriage sounds like it was the other Talking Heads classic, Once in a Lifetime.
Feet on the ground, head in the sky,
It’s okay, I know nothing ‘s wrong, nothing..
Love this--I'll be 77 in two weeks--one of the coolest songs I have ever heard
Genius
There is something about good music that makes you so happy and at the same time make you cry. Just amazing!
Could there be a better song? MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. Would love to see him in concert.
Sometimes I play this for an hour straight ...while cooking dinner and dancing!
@@johnsmith8785 I play this almost every morning between 8:00am and 9:00am.
It kinda' gets my day started right!
That was awesome, you can tell they were really having fun playing that...
One of the greatest Scottish performers.
My COVID song. It helps me realize that home... is where I want to be.
I agree, once it gets into your soul. It ain’t ever leaving 💜💜
I had this song on repeat for 2 months now. It never gets old.
Musical genius in the works.......timeless voice and presentation!
Watch how Byrne slips backstage during the intro to have a self made celebration he felt and lived the music!
David byrne is amazing
Amazing
The string section kicked ass in TX!!!!
great song gives me goose bumps every-time I hear it , Talking Heads truly music legends
The orchestra killed it!

One of the songs that influenced my childhood because my parents loved this song... now I‘m 48 Years old and it‘s triggering me still like before❤️
Never thought I'd hear an acoustic of this, I'm terribly happy I did!
Byrne & Talking Heads, I grow up with all this beautiful music... Thanks GOD ❤️❤️
No words can descride how much i love this.
One of the Best songs ever ❤🎼🎶
David Byrne is the Mister Rogers of music.
Beautiful.
ON POINT OMG The best song ever. He is the best EVER. From his voice to the violins to the drummer and guitar. AWESOME. Sick of today's music. This is the best!
This might be the best performance of this track since Stop Making sense. Unreal. Everything is so killer
The performance of this in the film “This Must Be The Place” was up there in my opinion
This song reminds me why I am a "hopeless romantic"... I love the Talking Heads and Davd Byrne.
All of the musicians are having so much fun….this is brilliant.
The beauty and craft on display with song never ceases to blow me away. It's SUCH a malleable piece of music thay can be worked so many different ways and always sound fabulous and never fail to surprise and satisfy.
A little piece of musical alchemy and genius is what it is.
David Byrne's more controlled and minimalist dancing here is great. He really lets the strings shine.
Musical genius.
Love this song.
If you ever drive through Pennsylvania look for a white Audi TT with the top off, rocking out to this song through Bose speakers. That will be me. I agree with Steve, one of the best songs ever written.
One of the most honest lyrics ever (?) - "Home, is where I want to be, but I guess I'm already there." I've lived that. More than once even . . . just saying.
Brilliant.
Sublime.
If this song doesn't put a smile on your face nothing will
One of the best songs ever.
He's a genius and we all love him .
Strings having a jam session
god damn gorgeous
Wow, so much joy and energy. The string section were full of life, loved it. The whole band was feeling this and it was wonderful.
One of the most beautiful renditions of one of the most beautiful songs
OF COURSE he sounds the same. Talking Heads. Those guys were savagely talented.

Every word, the truth!
priceless and unforgiven, love it since i as a kid, DARE to BE Different💯💬Hit me on the head I got, ooh👍
david byrne is just pure class best thing Scotland ever produced. and this song is so happy warming and brilliantly sung.
This is my first listen to this song. Wow, it looks like the string section are so into it. Then in turn, David Byrne is into, then in turn, the rest of the band is so into it. They all end up being so into it. Cool.
