There are both cleaning tablets called "2-in-1" AND larger decalc tablets also called "2-in-1". They look the same, but what makes them "2-in-1" and which should you use? The girl I chatted with at support said just one of the larger in the water tank, but why isn't that communicated anywhere?
And after 10 cups it will ask to clean it again, not sure if it's just mine, but it is horribly annoing, as I need to skip it each time I want a coffee. Eq6 plus s700.
Hi Andrzej, That's correct, we recommend the coffee machine be cleaned every 10 uses. The prompt can be skipped as you say, but there is a prompt to remind you that we recommend it be cleaned. Thanks - Craig

We're I live, the water is really clean and doesn't contain chalk at all. Is it really necessary to use those tablets then? I just ran the descaling program without any tablets, and the coffee is still supreme.
The machine should recommend for you to do this, however we do recommend every 2-3 months to make sure there is no build up and you get great tasting coffee.

You can change the temperature the coffee brews at in the settings of the machine, but we would also advise that for the best coffee temperature you should use a warm cup, such as rinsing the inside of the cup with hot water before the coffee gets dispensed. If using a programme with milk, we would advise for the milk to be warmer than straight from the fridge, so letting it warm up slightly from fridge temperature can help with better results. - Thanks Brett

It will wear your machine down over time though

Every time I descale it, it immediately shows "descale after 20 cups" again. That's kinda expensive, what could be wrong?
Hi, thank you for getting in touch. If you are requiring to descale after making 20 drinks, this is normal.
How long should step 4 take?
