- Audio only - Queen's album "A Day at the Races" opens with an overture that quotes the motif of one of their songs (White Man); right after that, Brian May offers a Shepard tone (an audio illusion that keeps rising) made from overdubbed harmoniums and reversed guitar lines playing the C major scale, locked in harmony, with a drone G dyad to accentuate the ethereal quality of such. This Shepard tone is also heard at the end of the album's final track "Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)", to create a circle in the album.
In this remix, it has been extended by an hour rather than going to the intro of "Tie Your Mother Down". Hear if you can notice the small details in the second section.
Better for background listening. Edited with Audacity. This video uses the 2011 remastered version.
