That was the point of this speech/video. They heard the rumors of the Cardinals tanking and tried to put something out to make it look like they're still trying to win. We all know they're not though, but they don't want an investigation from the NFL.

There's not one player on the Cardinals roster that thinks they're doing anything other than collecting checks and trying not to get injured this season. They all know this is a lost season as far as winning games goes.
Its not their fault its "lost" constant missteps and big risks by the front office havent paid off. The GM and Owner have failed this team, one of the biggest examples of a front office failing their team next to the oakland As. I could put mahomes on that roster and they still wouldnt win, the heart isnt there. Bc the front office has dragged their feet when it comes to building a squad

As someone who took the bus to work in Phoenix for nearly 2 years I can guarantee you that whoever took public transit in this city will not show up on time. You gotta plan for the bus that would have gotten you to work on time to be late. So you go a whole rotation early. You either get to work a half hour early, 5 minutes late or 40 minutes late.
I thought it was a weird hire when the Colts brought in Jeff Saturday last year but the Cardinals hiring Murr from Impractical Jokers is just completely over the top.

I just watched Ron Rivera give his opening speech. It was an NFL HC with a year shy of 40 years experience. This Arizona guy is a high school coach who has less years of life experience. Ron’s speech had the combination of sincerity, professionalism and team motivation. Every player in the room was glued to his every word.
Rons a good guy who commands respect but tbh hes a lot like Lovie smith. Good dude, a players dream but wins wise? he will never break his own glass ceiling. That season with cam was his one shot and they blew it, he will never get another shot like that again as a coach. He just isnt on that level

Regardless the cardinals motivational speech is insane.. I don’t believe anyone in that room is “bought in”. Not a good sign rolling into week 1.

Cardinals fan here, we love the job Ossenfort and Gannon are doing. Our talent might not be as good as other teams, but the players will show up and try to win every game and kill their opponents

in high school ball we had a JV coach that was a student teacher from the university. this guy was 5'7' and 160 lbs soaking wet. he tried to give a speech at the first varsity game one season and I kid you not the head coach had to stop him because he himself couldn't keep from smiling while lil buddy was trying to get us all hyped up. the HC was a 350lb samoan man that put the fear of god into all of us. I'm pretty sure HC knew what would happen and planned the whole thing but never got confirmation.

I had that same coach in JV. He grabbed my face mask, and I was on the verge of beating him to a pulp. We had one game left, so I simply walked off the field. Went to the weight room and started getting ready for varsity football. What a pencil neck tool that guy was. He never played football, and we were warriors. Luckily, I didn't get suspended for beating this guy up.
