@@ianwilliams2373 I have found that the subtitle choice is a bit tricky to access at times. I found my way around it by trying over and over in the past. When you see 'Dutch' click on it. The next drop down menu shows you Subtitles - Dutch click on that line again. After that another drop down menu will show 'Off' and under the word Off, you will see 'Auto Translate' Click on Auto Translate and it will give you a zillion different language choices..in alphabetical order....scroll down to E and you can select English there. Voila! It is a bit of a mission but that is how I found how to do it. I hope it helps.

Jean Jones basically farmers, they were attacked. The gentleman was shot in the head but by some miracle he survived. He underwent major operations. He doesn't live on the farm anymore.
He struggled with his attackers, he suspects due to the entry size of the bullet hole in his head, he was shot at almost point blank range
The woman managed to press the panic button. The attackers stole her firearm and a vehicle and escaped. Two kids in the house fortunately did not get hurt.

If you want to get international understanding and support, you should have English sub titles. In this way, we could also help to distribute videos to family and friends living overseas (so that they and their circles of friends can understand). And they can share the videos, and so on and so forth. It really does not help that only Afrikaans speaking people can understand this.

They were attacked on their farm. The husband (Johnny) was shot in the head but by God’s grace survived. He had to went for many surgeries, however. Thankfully their children were not harmed during the attack. The attackers took some stuff, including the wife’s firearm and left. The family is now living in the town and no longer on the farm. But they still manage the farm.
Stay strong, we pray for your safety and you have much to be admired for. The fact that you do keep your employees under this specific time of the epidemic says much and I appeal to our President that he really really need to have this whole murdering being it of farms or in towns properly investigated and maybe deploy some of the many defence force members newly deployed to protect and also help investigating these crimes. One life fallen is one too many. Irrespective of race or culture we are speaking of people's lives at stake. A miracle has happened for this family and I am thankful with them. May you have a speedy recovery.

Born & bred in Southern (Salisbury/Zim) & lived in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) my childhood taught me how wonderful the African indigeny were & thankfully my parents also respected & treated fairly/respectfully their African staff/neighbours et al...

The only thing that saved her was pushing the panic button in the bedroom, also hilighting the fact thier young daughter was mistaken earlier as a boy...Question to government / police is why have they not investigated the attempted murder case, in five weeks nothing has been done...not even farm workers questioned when the case of the two white farmers that put a black guy in a coffin to teach him a lesson for stealing copper cables supplying electricity to the community got such a high profile investigation. Also crime in general against the minority white community in the country , especially the farmers (boere). He had two brain operations and titanium eye sockets rebuilt lucky for him during the second operation they disoverd the brain had sunk down into the hole and stopped the fluid but would have killed hime as infection would have set in and he would have died.
He wants to return to his farm and will put in more security to hopefully keep them out in future.
PS: up to that point there had been 70 farm attacks in a month or two...there are approximately 30 000 farmers left in the whole country.

Dears...you wouldn't believe it, but my very little person's been recognized as the one who got the Pretoria government to the point that they had let go of Apartheid, and went over to one man one vote elections… My family and relatives - with myself - are very concerned about the 'plaasaanvalle', and the SA (farmers) surely can reckon on our hopes and prayers. Being 'onderouste' of Polisie in Kaapstad, (i) am very motivated in developing a modus (within our corps) in order to work onto an end of racial segregation(al thinking). Cape Town constibles know many collaegues who'd had lost life, doing our daily job. The violence against police servants known no racial drive; other arguments are apparent for 'boosaarde' to expose their violence against servants, no matter their color. SA is a most promising country and folks over there really must work those problems out. The suggestion of founding the Volksstaat is an open road; when Bosnia-Hercegowina could come forth from the 'ancient' Yugolslavia, or Lithuania out of the USSR, the Volksstaat scenario is not something to throw in the bag with 'missions impossible'.
