Michael! If you want, Hobi actually finished Blue Side and released it as a full track with some beautiful lyrics a few years ago. You should look it up! It's my favorite song of all time.

In Daydream, Arthur is the main character in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the line Don't Panic is found throughout the text. Love this!
This is the album that got me into BTS! I know the correlation is funky but it got me through COVID and helped me quit smoking cigarettes.

17:45 "Arthur," is Arthur Dent, the protagonist in Douglas Adams', "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy," series. The next image that comes up on the cell phone is also a reference to the series: "Don't Panic!"
Also, the submarine reference (along with Arronax & Captain Nemo), is from, "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea," by Jules Verne - essentially another fantasy/sci-fi novel dealing with themes of adventure, escaping from society, the meaning & burden of freedom, what it means to be an outsider, etc.
I could be wrong, but I have a pet theory that, "Nemo," could be a double reference, to both Verne's novel & the cartoon character Little Nemo. The latter was a newspaper comic strip, "Little Nemo In Slumberland," that was popular in the US in the early part of the 20th century. Like the novels referenced on the album, was also made into a film, which again is a fantasy/sci-fi about escapism, dreams vs. nightmares, freedom, being an outsider... oh, and it also includes an ocean voyage. It's likely that J-Hope would know the film, since it was actually an American/Japanese animated musical made in the late 1980s.
i listened Hope world so much back when it came out and i still love it with my whole heart honestly, i miss Hobi already💔

J-Hope wrote DayDream while on tour in Brazil in his hotel room. Classic Samba beat. Hope World play on Cole World💝 Piece of Peace is entirely written and produced by Hope. He is justifiably proud of this amazing song and message.

ohh i love that we're getting a reaction to this gem! as much as i absolutely loved each and every track on jack in the box as well as the entire concept of the album, i think hope world will always be my favorite out of jhope' solo projects. it's just so unapologetically him and I'm in love with every single song on that masterpiece of a mixtape. and needless to say, you're one of the best (if not Thee best) , most genuine reactors out there, so i just can't wait to hear you share your honest opinions and maybe even your own interpretations of the songs

Honestly, your BTS reactions always bring a smile to my face bcs you are genuine. it's easy to see how much you genuinely appreciate them. Hope World was a straight serotinin hit to my brain when it came out in 2018, I listened to it non stop. It actually came out just before a trip I took with my best friends to visit our mutual best friend who moved to Key West with her family the year prior, we live in Peru so we travelled just to see her, and the one album I listened nonstop on the airplane? Hope World, specially Airplane.

blue side was at number 1 on my top song of year spotify year end list 2022. Both outro and full length blue side i listen them on repeat and i think they will again top this year's year end spotify lst. I really love blue side and keep listening them whole night.

The thing about BTS individual members and as a group...they are really like a satisying meal...never boring...full of different nutritional tasty elements. So satisfyingly you have to keep coming back for more.

how you broke down the difference between hope world and jack in the box makes perfect sense! hope world is a mixtape, so it's all more focused on his rap style over more conventional rap beats (tho with his skill they're everything but conventional) whereas jack in the box is his first album and so it's not only about the rap but also the sound. he and all of bts honestly are aware of the difference between a mixtape and an ep or an lp which to me shows how much respect they have for the hiphop/rap culture
