I think I would of went with the fish bait Mike as I used to find the cod would go for a bigger fish bait at the start of of the year bulking up before heading out to sea, by the way did you see GKJ got another one the other day!!!!! Just saying like. 😢😢😢😢😢

Try fishing down by the metal steps Mike. I had a couple 1.5 - 2lb codling last weekend and a ton of whiting. Very snaggy tho lost a few leads 👍
